My local Volvo Penta dealer closed in Amityville. Drove out to ABW to pick up oil and oil filter. Pete had everything laid out on the counter when I got there. He has been in operation for 43 years. Picked his brain about doing my exhaust manifolds. Super knowledgeable and friendly to boot. Will be back for sure.
Pete is the best there is. I bought an engine from him for my boat and he was very helpful. I live down the shore NJ and I will still make the drive up to Patchouge for him to work on my boat. Pete is very knowledgeable and has many years of experience. He took the time to explain a few things and really seems to care about his customers. The place also has many used interior parts that are hard to come by. I will definitely be back.
Pete and his team doing a great job providing parts & service to LI South Shore Boaters since the 80's! Coming in now for winterization, shrink wrap and storage and find Pete building a HUGE new heated and air conditioned facility right next door. On the Patchogue River, a little tough to find landside but worth it. So happy to have found Pete and the American Boat Works crew!!
Pete is very good. He takes the time to explain things to you and although he's not cheap he is an excellent mechanic and does things the right way. Highly recommend
