Surge Rehabilitation and Nursing

Surge Rehab has been an absolute blessing for our family over the past three months while my father has been recovering from brain hypoxia. From day one, the staff has shown an extraordinary level of care, compassion, and attentiveness—not just to my father, but to our entire family.
Every interaction made it clear that he was in the hands of people who genuinely care. The team consistently went above and beyond to ensure he was treated with dignity, patience, and respect, and they always took the time to explain things and keep us informed.
Special recognition goes to Grisel Garcia, the social worker, whose kindness, support, and advocacy made a difficult journey so much more manageable. A huge thank-you as well to Brigitte, head nurse on 2N, and Kavon—their professionalism, warmth, and dedication truly stood out and never went unnoticed.

after a 10 day hospital stay for pnemonia and the flue, SURGE was recommended to me be a friend for its pulmonary focus,
.when ni arrived, i could not walk, get out of bed, i was weak and needed he.p. i received one on one physical therapy and was out of bed in a day, in the wheelchair and amazed on the focus on me by everyone, i really mattered. after t weeks, i can walk over 100’ with my walker, my overall health has improvrf, my mental health is on a high plain and i highly recommend this facility.

Caring staff, clean, food.is good and having spent time in other facilities, thi# will be my GO TO if ever i need help.

The care I received from Surge was absolutely great. The nursing dept run by Bridget on the unit I was on is hands on, a great advocate for her patients and very caring.The nursing team (Tracy, Judy, Sherry ) are all concerned about their patients. The nursing care this team gives is impeccable. The CNAs were all next level. They take their responsibilities seriously and provide great care! They do such a hard job but are always so caring and happy. The PT Dept is filled with dedicated professionals. Sanj, Paul and Kylie all did such a remarkable job helping me get better that I am indebted to them forever. Paul gave me my life back! Grisel, social worker, was always helpful and whatever documentation I needed she always provided expeditiously! Surge will always have a special place in my heart!!

My father had to choose a facility for sub-acute care within about 3 hours - we had no idea where we were headed but Surge came recommended and had a bed. Though the facility is old it’s been re-vamped and they tried hard to make it light and bright and clean. The staff shines here - from the Social Worker Giselle and Social work Director Paul, to the Nurses Bridget and Director Stephanie and LPN Tracy to name just a few- everyone played a part in my fathers comfort and care. These care-givers truly give of themselves; it’s not just a job to them.
