Unikorn Construction installed a standing seam metal roof, copper gutters and new cedar shingle siding (Alaskan Yellow taper-sawn shakes) on our 1830 antique farmhouse. Also, all the exterior window trim, copper trim, gable/rake fascia trim were either replaced or newly constructed and installed. The work done is beautiful, highly professional and detail oriented. Restoring an antique house is challenging. Vasyl was able to find sensible and sympathetic solutions to existing issues and to problems encountered along the way. The workmanship is beyond reproach; Vasyl is not only very knowledgeable and talented but also an artist dedicated to his craft. We are more than pleased with the end result and extremely thankful to Vasyl and his wonderful, hard-working team. The property was always left impeccably clean. We are so grateful for an amazing exceptional job and consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Vasyl. He also happens to be an all-around great person. Highly recommend!!

We had an urgent repair underway when it was discovered we needed some copper flashing fabricated at short notice. Vasyl was very busy at the time but promised to produce the flashing at his first opportunity.

True to his word, he was able to get the material, form it, and help with the installation. As the project progressed, we needed a gutter and downspout fabricated as well, and Vasyl responded in a timely manner.

Throughout the process he kept us up to speed on his status and was honest and responsive about timing and complications. Overall, an excellent contractor experience - highly recommended.

Vasyl is an increasingly rare breed - creative and attentive to the most minute details, you can tell that his work is one of passion. We had a fairly complex roof with many transitions and angle changes - Vasyl and his his team managed to simplify the lines of our roof and achieve our goal of a quiet understated palette. If you have the opportunity to get on Vasyl’s calendar, take it!

Our school community is so fortunate to occupy a 150-year old carriage house, and that good fortune was very much at-risk. Thanks to Unikorn Construction, there is a brand new roof on our very old home, and it can last another 150 years!
Vasyl, from the onset of our project, was supporting us with consultation, creative and quick fixes to support our budget, and was instrumental in the process of planning for this renovation. Leaks in the old slate tiles were worrisome, and the prospect of a new type of roof on a historic building was daunting. Nevertheless, Vasyl was extremely deliberate about preserving the aesthetic, and now that the project is complete, it looks like it was always there.
For any project, for a home or for a historic building in need of some care, I could not recommend Unikorn Construction more highly. Their professionalism and quality cannot be matched, and are a breath of fresh air for folks who work with my different contractors, for all sorts of jobs.
