It is hard to give enough praise to Chefalo Contracting LLC. We worked with Evan and his team to completely gut and renovate our dilapidated 1890s house from a 2k sq ft 1 story home to a 4k sq ft 2 story home with a finished basement. We couldn't live in the house during this time and had to stay out of the area so our trust in Evan and his foreman, Dave, had to be absolute. They didn't disappoint and we were in constant contact about the project as we worked our way through the many challenges and decisions that came along the way. As each decision needed to be made we felt supported and like our needs were being looked after. Dave, our foreman, specifically felt like he treated this project like he was building a home for himself and would help us understand why he would make one selection versus another and if he saw something that fell short of his high standards would alert us. This specifically became vital when it came time to install our kitchen. Items were delivered damaged, missing, wrong color, wrong items, the designer hadn't thought through all the edges, and a lot more. Dave was showing us in real time what was going on so we could address them quickly and saved us a lot of time as well in holding the business accountable for their mistakes.

Despite a lot of surprises along the way, the project was finished within the expected completion window and we couldn't be happier with the results. In a process with so many details and moving pieces there were surprisingly few hiccups on the part of Evan and his team. However, even with those few hiccups, Chefalo Contracting was dedicated to make them right. The house feels stronger and more stable than ever, is absolutely stunning and Evan continues to be a person I know I can reach out to should I have any concerns with anything going on in the house. Thank you to everyone who worked to make this project possible. My husband found this process so smooth that he's begun joking about buying another house just so we can continue to work with them.
