Classic old school tackle shop. The owner, Vinny is a genuinely nice guy with a bunch of stories to tell. We rented a row boat for the afternoon to go out on Wappinger lake and was very reasonably priced. Would go back just to talk to Vinny.

Best place in the world if you want a piece of heaven, I fish there almost 21 years ago and was amazed how a little place like that was Tuck Away in this area. I had to go to Iraq 2003/2005 looking forward to find this place again. Thanks Vinny
Best kept secret of the Hudson valley! Vinny is the sweetest man I've encountered. Friendly face and always has what you need. Definitely go check him out if you haven't yet. Definitely call to get directions. Google isn't quite up to the task of getting you to the right destination!
Came by with my daughter and wife without an appointment and Vinny still got us all set up for a morning on the lake. Vinny was extremely nice, treated my daughter like family and made sure we were aware of everything we needed to have a safe time on the water.
There was a lot of wildlife - we didn't go fishing but could see plenty swimming around us. Vinny was looking out for and feeding a family of swans who all looked happy and healthy. The weeds on the lake were a bit tough to pass through so be ready for a small workout.
I'll definitely come back it was a great way to spend the morning.
