Visited Pennsbury Manor during the 2025 Holly Nights, and it was absolutely beautiful. The grounds and historic buildings were wonderfully decorated, creating a magical and festive atmosphere. Everything was well organized, and the experience felt both peaceful and special. A perfect place to visit during the holiday season. ✨🎄
Family in from Texas. The teen a history buff. With the shutdown most Philadelphia historic places closed. So we went to Pennsbury Manor. All enjoyed it throughly. Space for the kids to roam. They had a 3 day trip home. Parents felt this was better than going to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. 16/1700 living. Out buildings were open, live stock. Wends, Thurs and Friday Manor open. They had a private tour with a golf cart. No one showed for the 12 pm tour. Our history teen from Texas was thrilled. My handicap hubby had wanted to see the Oxen and outside kitchen. The people inside were very helpful and nice.
Pennsbury Manor is William Penn’s country estate in Morrisville. The Manor is set on forty-three picturesque acres along the Delaware River. The Manor includes a visitor’s center with a 15-minute video providing a historical overview, the main house with several outside service buildings, a paddock with animals and a kitchen garden. Helpful Hint: I highly recommend the guided tour. There is no additional cost and it is well worth it. Valerie, our guide, was fun and provided lots of information about the estate including a couple of live demonstrations.
Walk the grounds. See the farm animals. Take a tour. Watch the river go by. Attend various scheduled events. A visit here is enjoyable for people of all ages.
Great views and very educational. Very thankful that the historical house is cooled to 70 degrees, especially in the summer. Lots of benches outside. The picnic area in front of the visitor center is shaded, with restrooms, so that is another plus.
