Very Nice Shop ! I told owner it was like a mini L.L. Beean
Went to this hunting store in 2023 with my friend and purchased hunting licenses to go hunting for coyotes, tried to purchase a shotgun to go hunting, clerk refused to sell the shogun which was not a big deal for us because we had rifle with us from Ohio and I had Ohio ID which allows to purchase hunting rifles in PA but of course the store can refuse the sale which wasn't a big deal really, but clerk said they would have to fill out lots of paper work and call the Sherif department in order to sell any hunting rifle to me which was not a big deal like I mentioned earlier. But what I am upset about is that the store clerks did not tell us we had to purchase a furtaker license along with the hunting license in order to hunt for coyotes, so we only purchased a hunting license. Of course it was our fault for not reading PA laws properly so I am not blaming the store but the store clerks could have gave us an advise to help fellow hunters. We got heavy fines during that hunting trip had to go to court for long time and this would be first and last time going hunting in Pike County or Milford PA (and as a matter of fact I dont recommend going hunting at all unless you are homeless and you live in the woods and have no food to eat and you have to hunt to survive). My advice is to not even stop in Pike County or Milford if you are going hunting but to drive to the next county and try to hunt there and preferably hunt on private hunting grounds and never on State land hunting grounds because Pike County is a corrupt county that tries to generate fines any way they can especially from hunters, they let aggressive Game Warden Patrick Sowers and Deputy Game Warden Ron Tussel onto the hunting grounds to fine the hunters heavily.
Nice little sporting goods store with a very wide assortment of goods. We purchased two pairs of boots and some socks. Ted was very friendly, helpful, and informative. He even gave us some dining tips for the Hawley and Lake Wallenpaupack areas.
This store is truly a hidden gem. Fully stocked with a wide range of gear and equipment for all of your outdoor adventure needs. Ted and Adam are knowledgeable and experienced with the merchandise and always ready to help.
Absolutely loved our experience with Pike County Outfitters in Milford, PA! The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Great selection of gear, fair prices, and just an all-around welcoming vibe. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place is a gem. Five stars all the way!
