We hired Fine Home Contracting for a major renovation project—combining two small bathrooms into one that also included a laundry area, and building a brand-new primary en-suite from the ground up.

From the very first consultation, Dave set the tone for the entire project. He truly listened to what we wanted and helped guide us in the right direction. Unlike other contractors we spoke with, he wasn’t trying to upsell us. In fact, he helped scale the project back to something more realistic, both in scope and budget.

Tony was a clear communicator throughout—from the initial contract proposals to the final payment. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and was incredibly patient with all my (many!) questions.

And then there’s Kristin, Joe, and the rest of their team —the true magic makers. Their communication, craftsmanship, and attention to detail were outstanding. Every person on the job from plumbing to electrical to tile and everything in between was an expert in their field. Joe and Kristin held their people to high standards and fixed anything that didn’t meet them.

Fine Home Contracting did a great job on our home addition in West Hartford, CT. We added 625 square feet to the house, including a new bedroom, bathroom, and a large walk in closet. It added a ton of space and value to our home. The entire process was smooth and everyone was easy to communicate with. We’re really happy with how everything turned out, the lighted shower niche is definitely one of my favorite parts. It was great working with Joe, the project manager, he was always quick to respond and super helpful. If you’re looking for a contractor in the West Hartford area, I would definitely recommend.

FHC did exactly what they said they would, for exactly how much they said it would cost. They even finished early! Sales, project management and labor were all great to deal with. My expectations were exceeded :)
