I want to preface this review with stating that most of the staff are nice and courteous, but one who stands out specifically is Victoria. She is always kind and greets people and remembers faces/orders. She treats you like a regular even if you aren't in on a weekly or daily basis. I will say that some of the other staff seems new or a bit lacking in social interaction with customers, but that tends to be the trend with new hires and first time jobs these days.
Regarding the store, historically I've never had great luck with feed at this tractor supply. It seems they are always out of stock on the food I need for multiple species (Rabbit, Cat, Dog, Horse) unless you show up right on delivery day and you have them pull it off the pallet. It seems like a lot of shenanigans go on in the back room during the day. Ive seen where there's lots of product sitting on pallets back there, but it isn't being replenished the shelves.
I would suggest checking stocking levels vs sales on a weekly basis to improve inventory levels. Personally it's better to have a little bit of overstock than to have nothing on the Shelf at all.
I will revise this post to a higher level when I can come in and actually be able to get all of the feed that I need without having to wait a week. I've had no trouble at every other Tractor Supply I have visited.
The staff is always so pleasant and helpful at this location. I want to shout out Shawn - the absolute nicest staff member there. I was flying solo with my extremely anxious pitbull at the vet clinic on a very hot day today - and I had to run back inside to give something to vet, but didn’t want to have to bring her. Shawn was kind enough to stay with my running car so she could sit in the AC and I could go in alone, stress free. I took about 5-7 minutes in there, and he was so kind to help me out.
I remember when I heard tractor supply was coming to Naugatuck I thought to myself I can’t imagine I will need to visit there often, I was incredibly wrong. I go to tractor supply every other week for my suet, sunflower hearts and Nyjer bird seed. Their bird feeding section rivals some pretty decent Agways. I also take regular advantage of their dog wash station that is a great deal at about $10. I also buy some work clothes, tools, yard ornaments and home decorations. Prices are pretty good to great when there is sales. The staff is always extremely helpful. I really like the Naugatuck Tractor Supply. I even like to introduce folks that wouldn’t otherwise ever visit the store as evidenced in the picture of my friend trying on hats.
