    Hello friends,
I cannot recommend Jamie C. enough. From the very first session, she created a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space that allowed me to open up and truly explore my thoughts and feelings. Her insight, empathy, and professionalism has made a tremendous impact on my personal growth. She listens thoughtfully with genuine care, offers practical and supportive guidance, and her education has shown greatly to challenge me in ways that has foster positive change.
I have never had a negative experience with billing like I have read from others.
What sets Jamie C apart is her ability to truly connect and personalize her approach to each session. She does bring a deep understanding of mental health traumas and tailors her techniques to suit individual needs, whether through cognitive behavioral strategies, mindfulness exercises, or simply creating room for honest conversation that feels safe and inviting. Her knowledge and compassionate presence make even the most difficult topics easier to process, and her unwavering support has helped me navigate some of my life's biggest and difficult challenges.
Thanks to her educational abilities, through EMDR, Mindfulness and Relaxation techniques, to person centered therapy she is helping me to reframe my thoughts so I I can trust Jamie to open-up-and share some of the most traumatic experiences without feeling ashamed or guilty.
Here is a little synopsis of what I have been through to help you understand if you have any reservations in seeking counseling, I am proud to say I am different woman today and well on my way to recovery from my past events. First, I am an empathic person that feels deeply and has been emotionally torn apart by family especially my stepmother, mother, Aunt, and sister.
I have been emotionally, physically, sexually, and spiritually abused from the time I was 4 years old to 48 years old, presently I am 59 years old. Twelve years old I was made award of the state by my mother, 2 marriages that were extremely abusive, three violent deaths, and two car accidents which one left me with a TBI (memory loss). Having been diagnosed with a TBI was extremely challenging to relive all the pain and abuse that I experienced and had to re-experience and reexamine without any constant support from my family.
I have gained valuable coping skills, greater self-awareness, and a renewed sense of confidence. Every session leaves me feeling heard, validated, and motivated to continue my personal journey.
As you can see, I am not ashamed in writing what I have been through. Trauma is not our fault, we did not choose violence, we did not choose non-self expression, and we do not choose to blame ourselves. As Jamie always reminds me, (“trauma is a severe emotional response to a stressful event that does overwhelm a person's ability to process”).
And this is why I say, if you are looking for a qualified therapist who is skilled, educated, compassionate, and genuinely invested in your well-being, Jamie C is an outstanding choice.
Thank you for reading this and be well.
    Denise

Excellent staff, excellent resources. I've been working with my therapist for a year and a half now, and having a therapist who specializes in alcohol/substance recovery is invaluable for someone like me (4.5 years into alcohol recovery). Cannot recommend Greenwoods enough!

I have been associated with Greenwoods Counseling for about five years and have the utmost respect for the agency, its director, administrative staff and clinicians. They fill an essential need in the community. As they've grown in response to that need, they have remained professional, reliable, and incredibly kind. Each and every client they have referred to me has been a delight to work with, always a good match. If you are considering contacting them for therapy, please know you will be in good and capable. hands.

Greenwoods Counseling & Referrals is a wonderful resource. At my lowest point, I was encouraged, welcomed and assisted to find the strength that existed inside of me. My counselor worked tirelessly with me and in the three years that I have been coming to counseling I have been able to change my life into the life that I always knew existed, but didn’t know how to reach. The fact that this resource exists for people on a limited income (after retirement) is especially wonderful - and truly a miracle. I cannot say enough, good things about Greenwoods Counseling & Referrals.
