I started taking virtual, acoustic guitar lessons with John during the start of the pandemic. I was truly amazed with how much I was able to learn over Zoom. He has a unique teaching style. He teaches using songs and artist you already love instead of selecting something that is easy to learn. I did not know ANYTHING about playing guitar. He was always encouraging and made me feel comfortable. He even taught me how to change my strings! He is patient, funny, and chill. John is truly talented and was born to teach music!
I took guitar lessons with John for quite some time and learned a lot from his expertise, guidance, and kind/patient teaching style. He was always willing and eager to explore areas of music that I wanted to learn, showing his receptivity and support of his students. He helped me grow as a guitar player not only in the music itself but in my confidence. I highly recommend taking lessons with John!
I have taken lessons with Johnny for over 10 and I cannot recommend him more highly. Along with being a great guitar player and overall musician, he is one of the best teachers I have encountered. He has always done well with helping me improve and keeping me motivated throughout the years. It doesn't matter what age, instrument, skill level, or genre, I would recommend any looking for music lessons to go to Johnny.
John is a fantastic teacher, especially for beginners and young kids. I took my very first guitar lessons with John when I was only 8 years old and continued taking them with him until I went to college. I definitely wouldn't have the guitar skills I have today if it weren't for John. He's got a lot of experience in the industry, particularly in the blues, and he's well rounded in what he teaches. He can teach you anything from Star Wars theme music to Master of Puppets. One of the most valuable things one can get from taking lessons with John is the opportunity to play with his other students in cooperative lessons. This way you can learn what it's like to play in a band so you can maybe join or form one yourself one day. If you're looking for a kind, patient, and talented musician to teach you a new instrument, look no further than Johnny I.
Being skilled at something doesn’t always translate into being good at teaching that skill to others. That is definitely “NOT” the case with John Ingrassia. John is both a talented musician and an excellent teacher. My son has taken drum lessons with John, and I have been working with John learning guitar for a number of years now. John is passionate about music and takes an intelligent and individualized approach to each of his students that keeps them engaged and having fun. He uses this approach successfully with kids and adults. Whether you want to learn how to play your favorite songs or dive into hardcore music theory, John can work with you. Don’t hesitate to contact him if you ever considered lessons for your kids or yourself.
