Mary is the best! She knows her stuff. She listens, adjusts exercises based upon your strengths and weaknesses -- and to change things up -- and helps you accomplish a lot more during your sessions than you ever would on your own. If you need a kick in the butt, she will give it to you. If you are struggling, she adjusts tactics. She has been training my husband and I for I am not even sure how many years now and we will keep coming!

If you had told me three years ago that I would be 177 pounds lighter and in the best shape of my life, I wouldn’t have believed you. Yet here I am, thanks to Mary, my extraordinary personal trainer and guide through this incredible journey of transformation.
I started my fitness journey at 407 pounds, feeling overwhelmed and completely inexperienced in the world of exercise and nutrition. Enter Mary—a beacon of knowledge, encouragement, and unwavering support. From day one, Mary’s expertise was evident. She didn’t just teach me exercises; she taught me the importance of form, the science behind effective workouts, and how to approach weight loss in a sustainable way.
What sets Mary apart isn’t just her profound understanding of fitness but her ability to connect on a personal level. Beyond the gym sessions, Mary took the time to understand my life—my struggles, my triumphs, and everything in between. She’s not just a trainer; she’s been my confidante and cheerleader, always there to celebrate milestones and navigate setbacks.
Initially, I wondered if Mary, whose clientele mostly consisted of older individuals, would understand my determination to change my life (age 22). I couldn’t have been more wrong. Mary’s dedication and passion never wavered. Every session felt like training for the Olympics; she pushed me beyond what I thought possible while ensuring every move was safe and effective.
Mary isn’t just a trainer; she’s a life-changer. Her approach to wellness has transformed not just my body but my entire outlook on life. She’s not only helped me shed over 170 pounds but also instilled in me the confidence and knowledge to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
If you’re looking for more than just a workout routine—if you seek a mentor, a motivator, and a true partner in your fitness journey—look no further than Mary. She’s not just exceptional; she’s extraordinary.
Quite some time ago, at the age of 65, I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy, which was significantly affecting my balance, gait, coordination, and arm/leg strength. My neurologist advised that I might well need to use a walker to get around within five years or so, but if I started working with a really good personal trainer who would effectively address those issues that period might well be extended.
I heeded his advice, and began working with a series of trainers, but each put me through the same type of" cookie cutter" workouts that did not seem to specifically address the issues I was dealing with. Then, nearly eight years ago, either by happenstance (or as I I believe, fate), when a trainer I had been working with moved away, Mary Race came into my life, and all changed. Mary, with her physical therapy background, was far DIFFERENT, and the continuously varying, challenging but enjoyable, workouts she puts me through have actually DIRECTLY addressed my needs. Now, at age 84, some 19 years after my original diagnosis, I am still walking on my own, just using a cane occasionally. The walker that I do have remains in the closet.
So, to Mary I say - "Thank you! You are a true gem - one of a kind." Had you not come into my life I would SURELY be in that walker by now!
