The doctors are good but very rude staff in the front. I asked in July if I could be tested for reading glasses & I was told to pay for an exam which is not cheap or until my appointment the end of January. This is not the first, second, or third time the staff was very rude to me. I gave it three stars because the doctors are nice & they take my insurance but I may be looking at the other options who take my insurance.

I just had my first visit to this office and I have nothing but good things to say! The entire staff were so friendly and helpful. I was taken ON TIME with no issues. They looked up my vision insurance policy and gave me all the information I needed to pick out glasses. I will come back to this office and will now have my family make appointments here too!

MyEyeDr Corporate and local location reached out to me. Requested photos, and my script, which I sent over. They offered to replace my glasses. I initially wasn’t sure I trusted them to get my progressives right, give my experience. I did agree, they went beyond replacing my lenses and gave my a pair of frames comparable to the pair I owned (my choice). I had to do a little leg work to get my prescription extended as it had expired a month prior. Everyone I worked with was extremely helpful. They invited me to use a location closer to my home. Both Southbury and Watertown were very helpful. The Southbury location had a much better selection of frames than I expected. The Watertown manager was very nice to work with over the phone and when I went to pick up my new glasses. I did in fact schedule an eye exam for my 16 yr old at Southbury and that went well. Both locations went above and beyond to help correct the error. While no directly said “I’m sorry” their actions showed me they wanted to do everything they could to correct the situation. I’m extremely grateful to have my progressive lenses back!! I’ve updated my rating but will leave my original msg below. If you need an adjustment of any kind Make sure they know if you have blue light protection/anti reflective/etc coatings on your glasses. I’ve never had to tell anyone. But I will be now.
Never go here! They don’t know what they’re doing. I needed my frames adjusted, they’ve been loose, I thought, awesome! They’re open. I’ll ask for an adjustment. I’ve used myeyedr before, but did not get my current pair from them. The woman did not adjust them properly. I thought at first she had streaks of cleaning solution that wouldn’t come off, she offered to “try a different cleaning solution” but returned and I pointed out the odd lines and explained they’re blurry now. She asked a question about where I got them. I ultimately left. In the sunlight I could immediately see the top layer was crazed. She applied heat without removing the lense, or too much heat and permanently damaged the lense. I walked back in and calmly let her know I was aware she cracked my lenses, and all I’d wanted was my glasses tightened a little. She said “I know”. Not even an I’m sorry. I got laid off. I’m stuck on state insurance. I cannot afford new lenses- these cost $528 to replace. All because I trusted myeyedr. I would never step foot in here. As a Medicaid carrier I’ll wait until I have a job with insurance before I get another exam. They can’t even be trusted to adjust glasses. While they legally don’t have to do anything. They could have done something. No wonder they give the verbal speech everytime about not being libel if they damage your glasses. They know there’s a good chance they’ll break them.

Well, their online system is terrible. I made an appointment. I had to reschedule it. It confirmed the appointment and then I get a phone call saying that the system already had somebody booked there which is very inconvenient for me because I had to get a ride to go to my doctor's appointment so I thought the Naugatuck location was bad. This one is not any better if you cannot keep the appointment that the online system provides to your customers then don't offer online scheduling. So yeah, I'm gonna have my family, not go back to my eye. Doctor.
It's too bad because we provide you guys with a lot of business since my kids and my husband get contact lenses.
