While visiting family in Connecticut, we had the pleasure of dining at Señor Pancho’s, and it proved to be one of those places that immediately earns a permanent place on the return list.

From the moment we were seated, the experience was elevated by our server, Luz, whose service was nothing short of exceptional. Attentive without hovering, warm without being rehearsed, and genuinely invested in making the meal enjoyable—she embodied the kind of hospitality that turns a good restaurant into a memorable one. Service like that deserves to be named and remembered.

The food itself was outstanding—bold, well-balanced, and clearly prepared with confidence. Portions were generous, flavors vibrant, and every plate arrived as it should: hot, composed, and satisfying. This was not rushed food or diluted fare for convenience; it was cooking that respected both tradition and the guest.

What stood out most was the atmosphere. Señor Pancho’s carries an easy warmth—lively yet comfortable, welcoming without pretense. It’s the kind of place suited equally well for a family gathering or a relaxed evening meal, where conversation flows as easily as the service.

I will make it a point to return with my family every time we come to visit. Places like this—where the food is excellent and the people genuinely care—deserve loyalty.

This is our new favorite place. The food is delicious and the service is always great. At a time when a lot of places are going downhill on service quality and starting to skimp on portions, these guys are keeping everything top notch like it's the 2010s.

In particular, the chips and salsa they bring ahead of time are the best of any other Mexican restaurant we've been to. Just a great experience every time we visit.

This will be my last update on this wonderful establishment. I love coming and getting a bite to eat and some food at the bar. The owner and staff are very friendly. Today I got the carnitas which were absolutely top notch. The refried beans are also in a cute taco bowl shell.

We went to Señor ponchos in prospect last night for a purposefully belated Valentines day celebration. Surprisingly, the restaurant was still decked out in Valentine’s Day, decorations, which is kind of cool.
I had to sizzling steak fajitas, which were pretty good. The steak was a little bit grizzly, and the dish only included three of the tortilla wraps. The ratio was a bit off as I had a lot of peppers And onions left when I was through. For some reason, they only used the yellow peppers. The dish included rice and beans. The beans are good, the rice was OK. Wife had tacos and said that they were OK as well. Upon arrival, we were seated quickly, which was nice. The staff did a great job. I like how somebody actually came by to top off our waters on somewhat frequent basis. We had also gotten an order of the fresh made guacamole, which is made right at your table. It was good, but seemed a little bit pricey. Then again, nowadays, everything is very pricey everywhere.
Overall, I’m happy we finally got to try this place as I have driven past here many times over the years.
