The whole experience was 5stars. Every detail noticed. Simone took such good care of us at the bar. We will come back.
What sets Winvian stratospheres apart from any resort in CT is its consistent and reliable culinary philosophy. Chef Chris Eddy insists that his team be deeply passionate about seed and soil quality, the art of growing, and the craft of preparing the freshest ingredients. You’ll may ask his culinary team to sign your treasured menu as a keepsake
Wow what a destination hotel. But it's so much more than that. It's an experience! Go there and check it out for yourself. The staff, food, and beverages are only complemented by the views.. It's just hands down amazing..
An interesting experience, but not worth the money in my opinion. Might be exactly what some want, but wasn't for us. Make sure you don't book your stay during a corporate retreat going on at the same time. We booked our mini-moon and were the ONLY "leisure guests" on site. This made for a very isolated experience, which could be desired by some, but felt odd. When exploring the grounds, we would have to seek out employees or we would never see another person. The room was really "cool" but smelled musty with cobwebs in most corners, including the shower. The AC barely worked and we were sweating at night. We requested a fan which the staff happily provided.
Plan to bring with you anything extra you want to do. The only thing there is to do, is sleep, gym and spa. The only food options for us there were the private chef who curated "tastings" at $400 a night. Don't get me wrong, the food was fantastic, but we did not want to spend $1,000 on two dinners, and would rather have the option to pick our meals. We felt obligated to agree to these meals since the chef was only on site to serve my wife and I. I can see the value in the idea of this place - very secluded cabins, very private, extremely expensive and lush, but we felt uncomfortable, out of our element, and slightly unwelcome. This was a huge splurge for us, if given the chance, wouldn't do it agian.
Winvian Wedding!
Our daughter was married in April 2025 at Winvian Farms and it was simply spectacular. We cannot rave enough about everyone at Winvian. The rehearsal dinner, welcome event, the wedding ceremony, reception, and Sunday brunch were, each in their own right, outstanding. Everyone at the wedding was blown away by the food. Chef is a genius. We have no idea how he is able to prepare such delicious food for so many people. Everyone at Winvian was so well organized, kind, efficient and fun to work with. Special shout outs to Ann, Erin, Stefano, Lauren, Rachel, and of course Chef. The cottages are amazing, the grounds so beautiful, and the Spa is a dream. The Morris/Litchfield area is wonderful. All of our guests thought that the wedding weekend was the best that they had ever attended. Thank you all!
