What an experience, if you are new to martial arts and want to get into it for fitness, defense, or just because it looks interesting. I 100% recommend coming here. Very friendly and non judgmental.
Best Martial arts class I have taken hands down.
Been going to AFA for a while now for Wing Chun. Classes are great, instructors are amazing, and your classmates are always willing to help you learn. A great school to learn an amazing martial art!
I've been studying various styles for 40+ years - and I'm happy to say this is the most extraordinary school I've ever studied in!
The students are incredibly inviting and the instructors are as skilled as they are welcoming, wonderful, patient, and kind.
If you're no longer a youngster (like me) and are tired of sitting on the couch and just getting older...
As a lifelong Martial Artist, US Army SOF Disabled Veteran, and Shrink, I can't recommend AFA Martial Arts highly enough - for the physical benefits as much as for the sense of community, empowerment, and just plain old fun!
Sifu Mike’s knowledge is solid as are his skills in both Ving Tsun and Taiji. Classes offer a combination of fitness, self-defense, and discipline to improve health and well-being. AFA Martial Arts provide a safe, controlled and supportive environment, is a great place to learn Wing Chun(Ving Tsun) and Taichi(Taiji)
Mike is a great teacher and a great guy. I've been doing weekly zoom sessions with him since April or May. I happen to be pretty casual about Tai Chi and use it mostly to keep limbs moving smoothly and use the muscles that help with balance, so this comment is for the older, mellower crowd. Mike makes every minute of our sessions relevant to me and understandable by me. I enjoy our sessions very much and recommend him highly. At the same time, every now and then he kicks the dummy and I can tell that he is probably a serious fighter, too.
