Took my two colleagues here after a recommendation from a client. The night started smoothly, got a little drink here and some guac there. But it all went downhill after that... The service was super duper slow, the food bland and dry. But what kills me the most is the 20% gratuity smacked onto the end of my bill!! For only!! 3!! people!!!!!! In this economy!!! What a waste of time and money for subpar food and service!! Ay, dios mio!!! Avoid at all costs!!
Wow—what an amazing evening! The food was absolutely on point, but honestly, the drinks really stole the show. You truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
I will mention there was a small difference between the price quoted by the waitress and what appeared on the bill, but it was totally worth it—especially with the live DJ and karaoke and the overall atmosphere. The music was on the loud side, which is exactly my kind of place but I can see others might find it a bit to loud. But I would Highly recommend!
The tacos de lengua and al pastor here are delicious and flavorful!
Can’t say much about dining because I’ve done takeout three times so far. If you are doing takeout I would confirm with them that there are utensils and napkins in the bag since the bag is sealed upon pickup. Not a deal breaker - just a little frustrating eating in the park and realizing utensils/napkins weren’t given.
The ambiance is very festive and active. There’s a live Mariachi band on Sunday afternoons.
The drinks were very good, we had guava mojito, regular mojito, bad man, and mangonado.
We got the guac app, but that was really small and needed salt. The elote was somewhat flavorful on the outside of the cob, but the kernels were undercooked and the seasoning didn’t reach the inside.
Garlic shrimp app was extremely flavorful and everyone at the table loved it.
Chicken fajitas was plentiful, but on the dry side.
I had veg quesadillas, but a bit disappointed since the only vegetables they used were peppers and onions. There was also way too much cheese.
They serve chips and salsa when you first get there which the entire group enjoyed. Their homemade salsas are amazing.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal.
This place was cute and very nice. It’s not Tex Mex which I am very happy about! It is Mexican food. It was the first time I tried cactus leaf and best! The drinks are amazing. Meat was cooked on the rock and the Molcajete was huge and delicious.
