It was great meeting Dr Shin. He took the time to answer all of my questions and explained things clearly. Never felt rushed and he never made me feel that my questions were insignificant. People in office & giving X-ray were very nice and Colleen got in touch w me quickly and provided me w a packet of info. She would always respond to my emails & would get back to me w the answers to the questions I had. So far so good. Haven’t had surgery yet!
Dr. Shin was amazing! He is very kind & listens to you! He recommended physical therapy for an ongoing problem to help prevent me from getting cortisone injections which I was getting every 4 months by another facility. So far so good! I will and have already recommended him to many people.
I am preparing for surgery. Dr Shin has been patient with all my questions and clear about what I can expect. The office staff is competent and the surgical coordinator, Colleen, has been thorough in helping me get the pre-operative checklist complete. I feel comfortable going into surgery.
Dr. Shin was incredibly thorough, compassionate, and knowledgeable throughout my evaluation. He carefully reviewed my case, explained my hip condition in clear terms, and took the time to explore every possible treatment option before discussing surgery. I especially appreciated that he encouraged me to try alternative therapies before considering a total hip replacement. His balanced, patient-first approach gave me confidence and peace of mind. Highly recommend him and the entire team at the Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey!
I am so incredibly grateful to Dr. Shin and his wonder staff. I recently had a full anterior hip replacement and I am finally free from the most debilitating pain I had endured for the last year. I no longer feel those horrible jolts in my groin, the hip pain is GONE!!!!! I had my surgery last week and with every surgery, there is soreness, but it's minimal and I only need Tylenol for that. It's going to take some time and physical therapy to completely heal, however, it's like having a 2nd chance at life again. I'm 41 years old and very active, I have been since childhood, and when I started feeling pain in my left hip and groin, I thought it was a bad pull or maybe a slight cartilage tear. I wasn't expecting to hear that my entire left side was basically shot. I had dysplasia that I never knew I had because I never had any previous issues that lead me to that diagnosis. About 2 weeks ago, I hit my breaking point when I couldn't figure out how to take my next step without falling or feeling the most intense pain. Dr.Shin saved more than my hip, he saved my life. Pain is bad enough to deal with and everyone has a different way of handling and managing it. I have to say that I have a high pain tolerance, but this was brutal. I felt the strongest part of me become the weakest and the mental and physical toll it took, was extremely rough and it took alot to get through each day. The one thing that kept me going, was knowing that this could be fixed. Dr. Shin and his entire staff made it happen. I feel stronger each day and soon, I can begin to do the things that I enjoy again. I missed out on birthdays, events, trips and even a couple holiday's, however, because of Dr.Shin and his medical team, I will be able to do all of that and more once again. I am so grateful and I will always be to Dr. Shin because he gave me my life back. Anyone that is suffering in pain, please 🙏 see Dr. Shin, you will be so happy you did. Thank you Dr. Shin and to all that assisted on my surgery. You are the Best!!!!!
