El Familiar

My husband and I have been coming to El Familiar for years. It's honestly one of our favorite places around for a few reasons. Firstly, the food speaks for itself. We've had a variety of dishes on their menu, none of which have ever disappointed. I absolutely LOVE the pork tinga burrito, the mountain platter, and the skirt steak special on the hot skillet. Their quac is so fresh and their salsa is the best I've ever had! We recently started including a juice con leche despues dinner as dessert. Don't skip the juice!!! Not only is the food authentic, delicious, and very generous in portion size, Nicolas, the owner is just so kind. This establishment has friendly waitstaff and a cozy atmosphere with beautiful artwork and murals painted on the walls. El Familiar feels like la familia

Absolutely LOVE this place!! Authentic as it gets. The owner Nicolas pours love into the food, the atmosphere, and his kindness to the community. The prices are so reasonable for everything you get. The flavors of every dish I have had are stellar!! Highly recommend.

I've been eating at this restaurant for almost 20 years. The food is absolutely amazing, consistent every single time. The wait staff is on point and make you feel like you are part of the family Brenda is five star staff always welcome you with a huge smile the atmosphere is as comfortable as you can expect from any restaurant me and my wife try to go there at least once a month we live in the area but if we lived an hour away we would make it a point to go there at least once a month it's an addiction

03/22/2025: Take-out of Shrimp & Garlic with sides. WOW! 04/20/2024: First time visit for take out. Everything was tasty, well-prepared and packaged properly. I will certainly do business at El Familiar again.

After seeing so many reviews, we decided to try this place out. Didn’t meet our expectations as we thought. Service was slow, a few times they walked by us to the point the owner had to tell one of the servers to take our order. I saw some people get their food quickly however, so not sure what that was about. The food was pretty good, fresh, and the portions were large, enough for 2 meals! We loved the empanadas and fajitas. Overall we would return for some takeout.
