After visiting Liberty Island, we went to Elis Island and visited the museum. Worth visiting, striking to think the amount of people that arrived to America and were registered over there. History. Wonderful day.
I am a 30 year ICU RN, I found the hospital setup and process very interesting. Large portion of history that was not taught in school. While it is very nice "in the raw", it would be better if roofs were 100% and other measures were taken to prevent any further deterioration of this part of history.
The Hard Hat Tour is genuinely the best thing I've done in 25 years of visiting New York. A small group, intimate tour with an experienced and interesting tour guide, able to take you places that the rest of the tourist crowd can't access. Do it.
It’s a amazing tour. You get a lot of information about the history and the people. The tour goes 90 min and you go to all the secret places. Our guid was so amazing. She give us a view bro the past. We want to say thank und see you soon.
The hard-hat tour of the Ellis Island morgue and surrounding buildings is well worth it. It’s all very well preserved and the tour doesn’t hold back - it takes you into almost every decaying building there, including the really dark and creepy places like the operating theater, basements, the morgue, the insane asylum, etc. Very authentic and interesting tour.
