These guys are great! My friend recommended me this shop since I had an issue with my rotors and brakes and needed emergency service. These guys came in clutch helped me out with great prices! I recommend these guys, super genuine and trustworthy. Thanks Pete and crew for everything.

Ed has been my mechanic for almost a decade. When he retired and Cody took over, service has gone from great to excellent. Believe it or not I have always liked going to the mechanic, and Cody has helped me grow to love my mechanics. Alison is a treat and the guys never make me feel like an idiot, they trust my gut when I say something is wrong with my P.O.S. car.

1/23/24 update:
Still 5+ star service, still love my mechanics. The shop manager and guys are still the jolliest bunch of dinguses this side of the county.

Cody took great care of my 2003 mk4 gti. Had a lot of problems when I first purchased it, but over time, this shop got it running up to speed. I don’t trust just anyone with my vehicle, but these guys are honest and very thorough with explaining what the diagnosed issue is. They got it running so well that I haven’t had to come back in almost 2 years because there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s 20 years old and I’m sure it’s just as fun to drive now as it was new :)

Stopped in there to see about making an appointment for an oil change, as I was in New Jersey longer than anticipated after my husband had a health issue. I live in Virginia and my car was overdue for an oil change. They were able to get me an appointment for the next morning. They took my car in as soon as I got there, did my oil change and also replaced my air filter while I waited. The mechanic checked various things on my car for me nothing else needed attention. The staff was very kind and courteous. I would definitely recommend them.

I've known and worked with Cody for a number of years now. He's a hard working, reliable and honest guy— all of these qualities shine through in his team and business. I run a European-specialized shop out of Belvidere, and any time one of my clients needs a recommendation for their domestic auto, I send them over to Cody. Every one of them has been extremely satisfied. Hampton Auto is one of the few shops in the area that will be worth your time, regardless of what you're driving.
