I had a very positive experience at this practice. I’ve been without a primary doctor for a few years since moving to Bridgewater. It just seemed like after Covid every time I tried to establish as a new client. It was months and months and months until anyone could see me. So I just used urgent care.

I recently had a medical emergency that landed me in the hospital and part of the instructions of my release was to follow up with a pcp for my continued care . A patient advocacy group contacted this group and got me a follow up appointment with Dr. Amit Argawal. What good fortune on my part .

I was greeted in a friendly manner by all the staff ..the front desk were efficient , friendly and thorough . The medical support staff to the Dr that I encountered were friendly yet professional and explained what they were doing and why .

Dr Argawal was knowledgeable , asked many questions about my hospital stay and current medical conditions was interested in my responses . He was very kind and compassionate of the vulnerability I was experiencing . I needed some preop testing for an upcoming surgery .He completed the testing right there and then despite a time crunch issue on my part .

I would absolutely recommend this Dr and practice to anyone . I had a very positive experience and the standard of care was excellent . Well done Hunterdon Family Medical keep up the good work .

I’ve never had a doctor make me feel as rushed and dismissed as I did with (main female doctor). During my visits, she would come in, perform a quick check up, briefly mention what she thought might be the issue, and then leave without giving me a chance to ask questions or discuss my concerns. It felt like my health was being handled on a timer.
The most upsetting part was when I needed important medical paperwork filled out for my employer. Despite being her patient for over four years, she refused to complete the forms and instead referred me elsewhere. That decision directly impacted my employment, and I ultimately lost my job because of it.
I hoped for more empathy and consistency from a doctor I had trusted for years.

Overall, this office is just a money making operation. Only reason to go there, or any family practitioner is to get bloodwork, see results and go to the appropriate professional. The visit with the “doctor” is about 5 minutes long. Touches you a few times, looks in your eyes, orders bloodwork and is out of there. I had gone in knowing I was low in iron (which is strange) and did nothing other than tell me to see a hematologist. Look up your condition and go to the proper professional. This office is just a middleman that doesn’t much. When I was called with bloodwork results, I had questions and they were pushing to get me to set up another visit. It’s just a money grab. The nurse told me each doctor sees 90 patients per day! Imagine that, you’re just a number. This is typical healthcare. My concerns that I went in with were not addressed. I feel like I came out of there with nothing concrete on what to do next. I would recommend to not go there.
