Getting a custom dress was an absolute dream come true! I thought the process would be out of budget, so I shopped around to see what I would like and ended up falling in love with two different dresses. That’s what led me to reaching out to Jean-Ralph. I was very clear about my budget, which he was able to work with to my surprise. Jean-Ralph and his wife are both extremely thorough and helpful throughout the entire process. They explained the process before I put down my deposit, drew my dream dress, and worked with me on changes up until the month before my wedding day. The design process ended up being my favorite part of the wedding planning process, since it was so incredible to see my vision come to life step-by-step. My dress and veil were perfect, and I’m so glad I decided to work with Jean Ralph! Additionally, my mom also decided to work with Jean Ralph as well for her custom dress. Throughout the process she decided she wanted a cape, which ended up looking so gorgeous. She was extremely happy with her dress and we both had so much fun with the process.
The entire experience at Jean-Ralph Thurin Luxury Bridal was beautiful, personal, efficient, encouraging, and most importantly made me feel unique/special. I was beyond excited to walk down the aisle in a custom dress feeling stunning, confident, classy, and well taken care of. Thank you for such a beautiful job. My wedding day was a dream.
As a July 2022 bride, my experience with Jean-Ralph, Delfrance and the entire team was absolutely phenomenal. From my consultation all the way up until I received my dress they went above and beyond to make sure I had the dress of my dreams. I couldn't be more in love with how my custom dress came out. I can not thank them enough for the best bridal dress experience a bride can only dream of.
I want to thank Ralph and Delfrance as well as the whole JRT team for giving me the best bridal experience. My most fondest memories while planning my wedding will forever be my monthly trips for my fittings. For something that could be such a stressful part of wedding planning this was my most enjoyable. There was truly nothing more extraordinary than seeing your wedding dress go from a sketch to real life. They brought all the drama and all the bling when creating this masterpiece! Between myself and my bridal party, we purchased 10 dresses from Jean Ralph Thurin. The lack of communication was frustrating. I had to email them several times before I received a response. My bridesmaids and I show up for dress fittings that were scheduled via email and they would not have us on their calendar. I brought my daughter to dress fittings on two occasions and there was no dress for her to try on (she missed school and dance class on both occasions, what a waste of time).
My wedding was June 15th and I did not see my actual dress until April 14th (I began this process one year in advance). The 1st dress (pictured) totally missed the mark of my vision and the photos I provided to Ralph (inspiration photo pictured here). My wedding was 2 months away and they had to start from scratch. Of course they had to correct the dress because I paid $4750 in full. I had to spend additional money on gas and tolls to attend additional fittings (I live 1 hour and 40 mins away). This was a major inconvenience.
Ralph became distant and barely wanted to speak to me and bridesmaids when we came to the salon. He completely stop interacting with us. Traveling to the salon became a bit uncomfortable. He put everything on Delfrance who was extremely patient and understanding. I would expect better treatment from Ralph considering we were clients and purchased 10 dresses from him. There were no "thank yous" or well wishes from him following the final dress pick up.
Let me add that they originally charged me for my veil which I felt should have been complimentary since we purchases so many dresses from them and my experience wasn't the best. Once I expressed this, they reimbursing me $150 (the funds was also for another ride I had to take few days before my wedding due to another mistake on their). I didn't received my dress ONE WEEK before my wedding. Ralph did not meet the terms of the contract regarding the delivery date of the dress however he held me to all terms.
Although I was pleased with my second dress (pictured here), I can't say it was worth the stress and uncertainly I experienced along the way. I could barely focus on the details of my wedding because I was too worried about my expensive dress. My bridesmaid dresses were very nice. My daughter's dress was also beautiful.
