Lose It For Music

As an adult student who has not touched a piano in years, I initially was looking to take lessons just to play a few songs. With Katee's guidance, not only was I able to pick it up a lot quicker than I thought possible, she has also reignited my interest in music. She is patience, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She is an amazing teacher who makes learning fun and motivating. Her lessons have exceeded all my expectations.

Returning to piano after many years (ok, decades) I have been taking lessons with Katie for only a few months and already feel like I have made noticeable improvements in my piano skills. She helped me shake off the cobwebs and rebuild my confidence without ever making me feel behind or out of place.

I tried a few different studios before finding Katee’s Lose it for Music. From the very first lesson, it was an excellent fit. She creates an environment that is welcoming and low-pressure while also being really thoughtful and focused. She is the perfect blend of skilled, patient, and encouraging. Lessons are a mix of structure and flexibility.

In addition to a focus on technique and theory, there is plenty of room for fun pieces suited to my personal interests. She explains things in as many different ways as it takes me to understand. Learning is challenging without ever feeling overwhelming. Lessons are something I look forward to each week.

Katee is such a patient and talented teacher to my ten year old daughter. My daughter decided to start piano in August with no experience, but 100% determination.
