Mabagos Jerry MD

Highly recommend Dr. Mabagos! I have 2 boys, one is a preteen and the other is less than a year old. The eldest has been seeing Dr. Mabagos for a few years now and the other has been seeing him since he was born.

•Timing in waiting room:
I have never waited more than 10 minutes. ✨

•Bedside manners: Very kind and caring. Always takes the time to answer any questions I have. Explains to my kids what he is doing before it is done so they are aware what will happen during the doctor visit. Which helps a lot in calming any kids who are already nervous in going to the doctors.

•Same day Appointment: I have never had trouble getting an appointment on the same day when my kids are sick or just need to go him in general for something. And if the office is closed for that day they send me to another office that is open that day which is nice. So I can still get my same day appointment if needed. They would also plan appointments for both my boys at the same time and day if needed. This helps me a lot in saving time as a mom who has to plan everything out.

•Referrals: Dr. Mabagos does an amazing job at listening when I’m concerned about anything and if I were to request a referral or bloodwork to look deeper into anything my kids may need. Like when my youngest needed a hearing test for failing his newborn hearing test. He calmed my nerves and gave me a referral. Thankfully my son passed all of his hearing tests when he got retested.

•Refills: Whenever I call for a mediation refill it is usually refilled the same day. Which is AMAZING!!!

Staff: There are only two that I usually interact with. The first is the gentleman and the second is the woman with an accent. The gentleman is so kind and signs me in without me having to go up to the front desk. They treat you like family and they know who you are & your kids. Which saves me time when I first walk in. And the lady is always kind as well when taking the vitals of both my kids or when I talk to her. Not to mention she is pretty funny, and has a good sense of humor. Which to me is comforting because it lightens the mood of you are worried about anything lol. And when I ask them questions or request something they help me right away.

Jerry Mabagos is a wonderful doctor! When my daughter and I first moved up to south central PA, we could not find any pediatrician with the knowledge and expertise of Dr. M so we elected to travel the 4 1/2 - 5 hours every 2 months to take my 3 grandchildren in to see him. He was the only doctor who understood and respected my grandson's desire not to have his mom in the room while being examined and would honestly answer any question that he might have. He was always welcoming and thorough with his exams and if one of the children were sick, we were always given an appointment for that day at whatever office he would be at.
As the kids got older, my daughter became a nurse and we found a good pediatrician up here; but, we both would have loved Dr. Mabagos relocate out this way, where we have a shortage of good doctors!
