Miss Janet's Sunshine Schoolhouse

Miss Janet's is the ONLY childcare center we toured and felt comfortable leaving our son. Even when I changed jobs we chose to keep him here, adding 20 minutes to my wife's commute each way. He's been going since he's he was 4 months old and now he's almost 2. I'm sure all parents have anxiety leaving their baby when going back to work, but I cannot express how reasonable and accommodating they are. We absolutely adore all of the Baby Bees teachers and our son is in the process of moving to the next class. He is just dropping in for visits, but he already knows the teacher's names and smiles when we talk about them. The Baby Bees teachers would contact nap my son if he woke up early from a nap, helped transition him to falling asleep on his own and staying asleep which carried over to home (absolutely no tears because they knew how strongly we felt about NOT crying anything out), weaned from the paci at school in *literally one day*, and were super supportive with my excessive anxiety transitioning to solid foods (we mixed puree and baby led weaning. I would say every day "please don't let him choke," and they never got irritated, always reassured me). They have also been amazing since my son developed an egg allergy. We sometimes write him notes in his lunch, and they'll take pictures of our son with the note. If we say we miss him extra, they'll send us a picture of them giving him a hug. More recently our son has been having more separation anxiety, and again as they know how senstive we are to tears, they always come up with clever distractions for minimal tears at drop off.

Miss Janet isn't just the owner/Director. She's hands on with all of the kids, and knows all of the little tidbits about their personalities and families. The best thing is the SmartCare app. They update you in real time, with pictures, on what your baby is doing. You get pictures and info all day long and you don't feel like you missed out as much on their day. You can also communicate with the entire classroom staff via the app. You can email Miss Janet or the lead teacher if you have questions that are more personalized, senstive, or can only be answered by the lead teacher or Miss Janet. They have an open door policy and you can drop in any time of the day if needed or wanted.

I'll never stop bragging about MJSS, and we feel so lucky to have found them to be a part of our village.

Exceptional care center and exceptional staff!! We love MJSS so much! So clear and communicative with parents. Staff is so sweet and caring. My toddler cries when he has to leave! I feel so comfortable leaving my child there every day.

We sent my son here after attending another daycare. Miss Janet’s is so accommodating and welcoming! The teachers are top notch, and the activities and field trips for the kids make it absolutely worthwhile.
