Wow! We had a great Lunch at Stamna Taverna. The food was so delicious, the service was great and even the restroom was super clean. Very highly recommend.
Stamna Taverna is a great restaurant for an everyday meal or a big celebration. The interior is decorated well and looks very new and clean. The vibe is warm and family oriented. We went for lunch and split a bunch of appetizers among the 5 of us which was a great way to try lots of dishes. We visited Greece last summer and have found this restaurant to be the closest approximation in terms of flavor and quality. Prices are as expected for NJ and it’s nice that it’s BYOB. Desserts were also lovely - get the baklava if you are a cinnamon lover.
Stamna Taverna in Bloomfield is a true gem! From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting family-style atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel right at home.
The food was absolutely divine! We started with the Avgolemono Soup, a classic Greek Lemon Chicken Soup that was simply exquisite. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was the perfect comfort food. For our main course, we opted for the Chicken Souvlaki Platter, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the accompanying sides were delicious.
To top it all off, the portions were incredibly generous, leaving us completely satisfied. And let's not forget the dessert! Stamna offers a fantastic selection of traditional Greek desserts, including Kourabiedes cookies, a delightful Christmas treat.
Overall, our experience at Stamna Taverna was exceptional. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic Greek dining experience with delicious food, attentive service, and a warm and inviting ambiance.
Great spacious place with outdoor seating available, Endri was my server. He was polite, but didn’t hear/remember that I asked for salmon with my salad. There’s parking in the back & they don’t serve alcohol. Nice family friendly restaurant. Good for meetings and conversations. The coffee is good too!
