I live in L.A. but travel to Somerset at least once a month for work. After work I go to Somerfield Liquors because they have a bar there and very fun, friendly staff. Several TVs, nice background music, nice customers, a good vibe. I've never been to a liquor store that has a bar (a big bar!). It's strange but really cool. They don't have food but I often Uber Eats my dinner and eat at the bar. Very chill and nice. Tonight I ordered salmon and had a glass of Josh chardonnay. I highly recommend this bar. Charnis is the bartender during the week until 6:30 and he's super nice and very professional. Come try this place!
For a liqour store with a full bar not surprised this place is always empty. Just because you own a business doesn't mean you should be working with people if you're not good at it. Save yourself a headache and $ and drive to exit 12 off 287.
I was looking for a Large On The Rocks Old Fashion. They only had the tiny 200 ML. Which had a $2.99 deal. So I grabbed 2. I asked the 3 guys (2 on top shelf) and 1 at register what was the minimum for card. They say $10 and I can grab another one. I say sarcastically yet light and playful, I wouldn't have to if they had the larger one. The guy on the ladder replies "Actualy those 2 are enough they're $6". No they're not. I correct him and so does dude behind register. This clown replies NOT in English. I tell him I dont understand what you just said but I can read. HE never responds. It's raining and if I wasn't too tired to drive to another store I would've. I bought 3 and that's the last they'll get my money. Also their Goodland High sodas are $10 more than Wine Outlet and only offer like 2 flavors.
Nice place. I couldn't find what I came in for, but was able to fine something I liked and bought. The price was wrong on the shelf so I was surprised a bit at the register, but all is well. I'm not sure if I would visit the bar here but it is certainly clean.
This is my go to liquor store. The staff is very friendly and there is a great selection of craft beer and wine. I like how the store does not feel overly crowded like my many of the liquor stores in the area. Also, the bar is nice. I’ve only had beer on tap a couple times, and they weren’t the freshest IPAs probably due to slow turnover of kegs.
