Tiger Schulmann's Martial Arts (Lawrence Township, NJ)

My son attends Tiger Schulmann's Martial Arts since he was 9 years old. Honestly it could be 8 (I wish I knew about this place sooner), since the day one it has been great adventure. My goal was to teach him respect for himself,respect for others, discipline, consistency and to have the courage stand up for what is right even when is hard. He had his ups and downs but with the constant support he received from Sensei Billings we accomplished that goal. I have a picture of my son receiving his first black stripe on the white belt, and now he is training for the black belt. What a fantastic accomplishment! In the era of smartphones, tablets, computers, and so called social media destroying children's brains and physical health - that is the place to go to shape your child's mind and physique, I recommend it STRONGLY!

Our son began training with Sensei Billings a year ago, and it has been transformative. After trying other martial arts programs that didn’t quite fit, we finally found our home at Tiger Schulmann’s.
What sets this school apart is the genuinely warm and welcoming atmosphere. Sensei and the entire staff don’t just teach self-defense techniques—they instill discipline, respect, and confidence in every student. The progress we’ve seen in our son over this past year has been remarkable, both in his physical abilities and his character development.
The positive experience inspired my husband and me to join the beginner classes as well, and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made. The sense of community here is exceptional—supportive, encouraging, and genuinely invested in each member’s growth.
These training sessions have become the highlight of our week for all three of us. We’re grateful to have found a place where our entire family can grow together, and we couldn’t recommend Tiger Schulmann’s more highly!

We are very happy to be part of Tiger Schulmann’s Princeton for almost the past four years. Both of my sons love going there and learning self-defense and self-control. I highly recommend this place because Sensei Anthony Billings is an excellent instructor. He not only trains the kids physically, but his short talks after class have a huge positive impact on them.

This is a wonderful place to learn and grow both as a marital artist and as a human. The techniques are spot on and taught at a rate all can understand and improve upon. The life lesson talks are amazing, personal, and aimed at supporting the community of learners. As an observer, the lessons are often what I need to hear.

My son has been going for almost a year and he has benefited so much, in his focus, resilience, patience, and compassion. Sensei is one of the best educators I've ever seen. Highly recommend.
