    Beautiful water very clear.
Seasonally has more or less sea grass which affects visibility
Try to get there early in the summer days or you're likely to bake yourself

Always well kept trails. The lime kiln is best seen in the fall, during the spring it can be a little too overgrown.
Edit: also very nice place to go kayaking and paddle boarding. Be sure to stay clear from the old wood dock on the north side, it's infested with paper wasps. I almost had a dangerous situation because I hadn't seen them till they started swarming

We went to the park with very low expectations based on some of the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. The water was clear and surrounded by trees with fall colors. We chose to walk on the trail around the lake and found the ruins. The trail was easy but long.

Nice easy trail afternoon for the Pups. They loved the water. Small dog and seating near the water. They also allow small motor boats. Check for size limits. View from one of the trails

A most beautiful lake in the area for kayaking and just just hanging out. Beautiful location for photography, experiencing the hiking trails and seeing lots of nature.
