Anzalone Guitars has offered some of the best guitar service I have ever dealt with and seen in my 15 years plus experience as a musician. In my career as a musician, I have had many repairs and set ups on my instruments. Going to the big name guys has always ended with disaster, with high prices and low results. Anzalone Guitars turns that completely around, offering top of the line work at extremely affordable prices. Al’s knowledge, attention to detail, and care for the customers needs are truly second to none. If you are looking for a reliable luthier you can trust and work with to get your instrument playing at its finest: you have found the number you have been seraching to find. The best part? Al is kind enough to let you behind the curtain and offers insider knowledge on the subject through his workshops at a very affordable cost. This is truly unheard of and as somebody who just finished the 2-Day Setup Workshop, it was worth every penny. Al does it all, produces work at it’s finest quality, and has one thing on his mind while doing the impossible: customer satisfaction.
I just completed the guitar set up & maintenance workshop at Anzalone Guitars and it was fantastic. The two day workshop was rooted in the physics & mechanics of guitars with specific focus on how & why to make precision setup adjustments. We covered troubleshooting, fret work, truss rod adjustments, pickup height. The hands on work and guidance was outstanding. By the end of the workshop my strat played incredibly with low action, great intonation & excellent sound. I’d recommend this course to anyone who plays guitar or has a greater interest in doing repair work. Thanks Al, great job! Hope to be back soon for other classes.
Just finished a two day guitar maintenance and set up class by Anzalone Guitar.
This course is a must for anyone that wants to learn from a instructor that is very passionate about guitars and guitar playability.
A excellent instructor that explains the benefits of performing a set up to the very best possible degree that a instrument can be at to achieve optimal playability.
Shop was very clean and organized. Supplied needed tools to complete all work done on a guitar that you get to keep.
Al even had a former student that is a guitar tech assist me when I needed assistance. (Thanks Greg)
I honestly felt like I was working as a tech in his shop under the supervision of a master craftsman.
What a great experience!!!
Class was beyond my expectations!!!
Many Thanks to Al for such a great experience!!!!
I brought Al my 19 year-old MIM P-bass that was out of tune with a bowed neck. I wanted to revive the bass to the best playing condition (sound and feel) to start lessons again. After consulting with Al, on several options we decided to give the bass an overhaul. He fixed my bowed neck, replaced the pickups, bridge, pots and transistor. He replaced the nut, strings and gave the neck a fret dressing. Al keeps you informed on every step of the process and discusses pros and cons of any work he does on the guitar. (We decided not to change the tuning machines). As for play-ability - It sounds and fells great! I have been practicing everyday since I go the bass back and enjoy every minute. You can quickly see that working on guitars is a labor of love for Al - a true professional. I will certainly ring Al up when my p-bass needs a tune up.
Thank you Al, my SG never felt and sounded better, nut and fret job - impeccable. Guitar plays so soft - I cant put it away. Attention to details - second to none, I am very grateful for how you treated my SG. Forever grateful.
09/02/18 - Thank you for exceptional work on my Strat - I love it. To all : Al is a RARE combination of superb luthier and awesome guitar player so everything All - luthier does is immediately tested by Al- player. I dare you to find more skill and dedication. Thanks again Al
12/17/18 - Some say " You can't make a cheap guitar play like a real Gibson" ? - O yes you can, actually Al can - my cheap Chibson plays like a real Custom Gibson !!! It took refret job, new nut, tuning machines plus new electronics but it was worth it. I love it. Thanks again Al
