Absolutely love this studio and not just because it's a 5 minute walk away. Great instructors and each one brings a different vibe for their class. Regardless a great stretch and an amazing workout!

I’ve been coming here for almost two years and I rave about this studio to all my friends. Everything about this studio is great - the instructors, the look and cleanliness of the studio, easy to book classes online! It’s also great for beginners, not intimidating at all.

Avea is my absolute favorite! The studio is bright and airy, with a view of Tompkins sq park. I always feel stronger and more uplifted after taking a class. My favorite instructor is Jaqueline, she has challenging but rewarding flows with great breathwork ques.

Very disappointed with price increases. I've taken classes here for a year or so. I found some of them to be more challenging than others (shout out to Angelina whose classes are challenging and my favorite).

This place was definitely one of the more expensive Pilates classes via class pass in the area. But prices have increased even more lately which makes it, by far, the most expensive pilates class
in my area. No longer worth it, given there are equivalent Pilates classes for less than half the price. Will start to look elsewhere. :(

Great and accessible reformer Pilates studio in East Village! Each group class accommodates up to 8 students on the reformer machine (without the tower).

It can be a little confusing to find the studio, but the entrance is on East 7th Street. You have to ring for Avea and they’ll buzz you in. Walk up to the second floor!

They used to have large windows and a beautiful view but they’re going through some construction, so no views as of Oct 2023.

I’ve taken 20+ classes and my favorite instructor is Victoria, because she explains each movement and pushes us. I am so sore the next day.

Most of the students in the group classes are beginner or intermediate level. I’d say the typical crowd is a 20 or 30 something year old woman who wears a Target sports bra and has gone to 2-20 Pilates classes.
