If you’re looking to pick up cupcakes look elsewhere as the name of this place is a misnomer. Although the design of shop is inspired to look like an actual bakery, the concept is to sell customers apparel with the name “Bakery” slapped on it. Don’t go asking around if the shop is a bakery either cuz the owner will be annoyed. Her intonation made it seem like I was slow for asking such a question. Cute place but not really meant for local people. The shop kind of gives off an uninviting post-gentrified Williamsburg, Brooklyn vibe especially since it’s located in front of low income housing projects, and the prices of the clothes seemingly higher end. Not sure if this was the best location to open such a shop as it could have made more sense closer to 125th near the Apollo theater.
Black owned clothing store on the pricier side but they have good quality clothes for the most part. I bought a couple sweatsuits back in 2020 and they are still in hood standing. My only complaint is that my pants shrunk after I washed them ☹️ overall 10/10 in customer service and they host yearly semi black parties on their anniversary. You also might bump into a celebrity while you shop.
This place is very detailed in there store displays with custom made unique items as well as classics. The owner is very kind and courteous and always gives back to the community.
This boutique has really a level of welcoming energy that can be spread just from 1 person that you meet randomly at the location to the owner of the shop to the staff. Priced fair for the quality and dedication that was put into the product.
