Barton Orchards

We went apple picking at Barton Orchards and had such a lovely day! Even though it was late in the season, there were still plenty of good apples to pick, and the trees looked beautiful against the fall colors. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, exactly what you want for a cozy autumn outing.

The farm itself is well organized, with friendly staff, and lots of space to wander. We enjoyed exploring the orchard, grabbing a few treats, and just taking in the crisp fall air. It’s an easy and fun day trip that really captures the charm of the season.

I’d definitely come back earlier next year to catch the peak of apple season , but even late in the year, Barton Orchards made for a perfect weekend escape. 🍎🍂

Barton Orchards is one of the few local places that truly brings the community together. Without spots like this, our area wouldn’t have much to do! It’s sad to see people tear down a business over prices when prices have gone up everywhere — that’s just reality.

I’m a local, so I bought the season pass for $86, and it was well worth it! I went to about six different festivals this season and saved around $136 — plus, it was so nice not having to pay admission each time.

As for people saying it feels “too commercial,” I think that’s unfair. If the farm offered less, people would say there’s nothing to do, and when they offer more, people say it’s too much. Personally, I love that Barton has something for everyone. You can still enjoy the traditional farm experience, grab a drink at one of the three bars, or listen to great live music in a fun outdoor atmosphere.

The employees are always friendly and helpful, and the farm is full of great energy. Sure, the lines can get long during big events (hopefully that improves), but that’s to be expected when a place is popular!

Overall, a great local spot worth supporting — it truly adds life to our community.

Huge place! A lot of things to do with the family and dog friendly! Has a big dog park for them to run free in. So many different apples, pumpkins, has a sunflower field and corn maze. We enjoyed it so much we will be going back next year

The family and I had a great time and this place is worth it. I went with my mother and father and daughter and husband. There was a lot of space for my husband and I to escape our little human and send her off with my mother for face painting while we got some hard ciders. Then there was a carousel. It was far off in the distance but the walk burned calories and the Raspberry Hard Cider made the cold air feel even colder. And that carousel had some speed. My daughter loved it. Then they had pig racing which was free and honestly the best form of entertainment. I think it was the first time i heard a baby pig scream in real life. But they were all handled with care. If you take a look at the photo they also have carnival games. Theres my Chansey with an alien. The tickets for the carnival are paid for separately. But the games are a guaranteed win unlike in other places you go to where they want to take your money and destroy children’s dreams. The woman even helped my daughter win. It was very very nice. The apple cider donuts are 10/10 because let’s be real… that’s really why you’re there. They are soft and delicious. The ice cream too! It’s a farm everything’s basically fresh and that ice cream was the softest and purest ice cream I’ve ever had. So good. They have free hayrides which we did not participate in but it looked like everyone else had fun on it. They also had goats you got to feed and chickens which my daughter enjoyed feeding them. On your way out you can grab a pumpkin and there was apple picking but that season has ended. Apple picking is also a separate charge and you have to pay for the pumpkin. It goes by LBs obviously. But if you go here you won’t be disappointed and there’s a farmers market. There was also this moonshine bbq sauce i didn’t get to buy so i implore you all to go try that and tell me how that is i was really sad about that :(. Anyways i hope you all have fun if you go and bundle up if you’re going in the colder months it’s on a mountain the airs going to be significantly colder than wherever you’re traveling from.

I definitely enjoyed it more when it had that family business feel. Prices are geared toward city salaries for sure. It seems very commercialized now. The carnival was cute and a nice touch. Even if there was just one or two kids riding they’d operate the ride so we didn’t have to stand around. All Barton and carnival staff were sweet. The gentleman at the front checking bags was very polite and pleasant. My daughter got her face painted, the lady did a beautiful job although $20 is definitely the most I’ve ever seen for face paint. They removed a lot of the things they used to have at the fun park for the little ones. The donuts are still delicious but we couldn’t afford to eat actual meals here so I can’t speak on the rest of the food. Admission at $37 a person was a killer but our youngest got in free so that was a plus. They still had Live music which was fantastic. I wish they had more animals for us to pet and view. We got there around 11 so Lines weren’t long which made it a more enjoyable experience in that aspect. Mixed feelings on our visit but our kids were happy and we got to have a family day so overall satisfied.
