I dealt when they were Donaldson subaru in 2009. Now I'm back to East Hills Subaru
Checked in last quarter of 23 to order 2024 wrx. I dealt wist Gerry Senatore, a pleasant sales associate. Ordered it Feb.5th. Got it March 18th. A pleasant and fair experience.
Though at 72 it will probably be my last.
The staff are professional, I bought my vehicle new from them back when they were called Donaldson's subaru and went there for years to service it. The service manager is a good guy but I personally I wouldn't trust them with maintenance of your vehicle, they overcharge for what the market rate of maintenance and repairs are on the vehicle and recommend things that don't need to be done to the vehicle just to make profit. My vehicle has electrical issues and there's a lawsuit against Subaru for the issue and when I brought it in and told them to just fix it, I'd pay whatever it cost, I was given the run around and told that their computers couldn't find anything wrong. If you know anything about mechanics, you never just go off the computers, it's only a starting point. If you're looking to buy a car there, absolutely great place to buy, just never use their service department!
They were previously owned by Donaldsons. The service department is still the one who keeps this place attractive to customers like me. They are patient, polite and are very conscious of customer needs. I have seen irate customers make unreasonable demands for something like a parts unavailable and was demanding that they provide another car while they wait indefinitely without any proper insurance or warranty requirements. These staff have such a difficult task due to supply chain issues and are taking it on the chin like a champion. This is what makes this place the way it is. Honest and also pragmatic.
car was leaking through the sunroof drains. they had the car for more than a week and charged a lot of $$$. this would be fine if they fixed the leak. They correctly fixed the issue with what the water damaged but not the leek itself. I brought it right back but they claim the leak is no longer present. We have had 2 rain storms since3 then and both times i have found water in the car again.
If you need routine maintenance they are likely fine. if you have something a little more difficult go elsewhere.
One final note the leak involved partially removing the headliner and I wish they had not left oily fingerprints all over it. I cleaned it but why should i have had to?
Expensive... here almost 4 hrs for overpriced 60000 service. People are polite and place is clean. May not come back however due to cost.
