We ate here over the holidays and it was amazing! We were in the area over the summer and found the food scene a bit wanting but no longer with Flavor Cult in the area! 🎉🎉🎉 We live in NYC and if this restaurant was closer we would come all the time. The food is so well prepared and great care is taken into the flavors and textures. It really was a very memorable experience for us. It’s a delight for the senses! We came for dinner one night and the next day for lunch. The decor was fun and we loved the music. Everything we ate was wonderful- lentil soup, gluten free pizza (amazing sauce and beautiful mushrooms and basil), cochino divino, wings, Santa Fe rice bowl, dips appetizer! If you’ve made it this far in the review definitely eat here!!!!
INCREDIBLE family owned place with the best food we’ve had anywhere in the area. Outstanding lunch, dinner, and brunch options at a super affordable price but with quality and care that is completely off the chart. A must visit!!
One of the most incredible meals I’ve ever had! Everything was so fresh and flavorful at lunch that we had to try their brunch the next day. We were in town for 2 days and came both because of how delicious everything was. The food is better than most meals I’ve had in NYC AND much cheaper. Paola, the owner, is so kind and welcoming, and her husband and father are working magic in the kitchen. If you are in the area (and even if you aren’t) you need to come here!!! I am now a Flavor Cult evangelist - this restaurant alone made me want to visit the area again.
Stopped here after spending the weekend at a nearby cabin, amazing service, amazing food and warm family owned environment. We had Greek, Italian, and Spanish food and all tasted authentic. Would recommend to anyone in the area, worth going out of your way for.
Flavor Cult is exactly the kind of restaurant you hope to stumble upon in a small town — bold, creative, and genuinely exciting. Even reading the menu felt like an experience in itself. Every dish was so intriguing that it became one of those meals where you just trust the process and let the chef do his thing. And when I tell you I haven’t had food this thoughtful, clever, and flat-out delicious since moving out of NYC…I mean it.
The flavor combinations were spot-on. Things that might look a little “different” when you read them somehow end up tasting completely natural — and absolutely incredible — once they hit the plate.
We ordered a bunch to share:
Smash burgers – perfect crust, juicy, ridiculously good. Big portion for the price. Forgot to get a picture of these.
Birria tacos – rich, tender, and loaded with flavor.
Crab empanadas –my husband was dying over these!
The Choe – a burrito wrapped in calzone dough (!) and shockingly amazing.
Peruvian chicken special- came with three sides and omg- the sauce!!
Kids’ chicken fingers + quesadilla – kids were very happy
Also, the horchata to drink. Not too sweet- perfectly balanced flavors.
Everything was phenomenal — no missed notes, no filler dishes. My only dilemma now is what to order next time. I want to try the rest of the menu, but the items we had were so good, I don’t know how I’ll convince myself to branch out.
Please, please support this restaurant. Flavor Cult is something special, and you will not be sorry you ate here.
