My mom was at Gold Crest for 7 months while she recovered. All the staff took very good care of her. Suzette; director of social work was so nice and help us all the time. Charley; Administrator, was very kind and humble. She speaks Spanish and always help us, even talking with the insurance so my mom can get what she needed to go home. That was her last wish. The place is beautiful and always very clean. Everyone at Gold Crest treat my mom with love and respect. I will never forget what they did for her.
Wonderful place. My mom spent two months here for short-term rehab, and the care was outstanding. Administrator Charley is kind, quick to respond, and always present on the units, a level of involvement you rarely see nowadays. This was our second rehab experience, and nothing compares to the professionalism and genuine compassion we received. The staff treated my mom with true TLC!!
My experience in this place has been wonderful. I will speak specifically about one CNA (certified nurse assistant) who is one who cares deeply about her residents (patients). I will forever be grateful to Carmen Lawrence. Her shift does not end at 3pm (7am to 3pm shift). Most days she stays until 3:30pm as long as her residents need her. She is compassionate, enthusiastic to arrive at work in the morning with a let's get things done attitude. She has a smile for everyone and concern as soon as she gets in to check everyone is feeling well. She builds a residents confidence and helps those in fear of for example getting on a hoyer lift to dissappear. She is kind to everyone even those residents that are not her patients. She has a blubby personality. Definitely she loves her job.
I see how she welcomes new residents. She is the type of CNA every relative would love their loved ones have their entire stay here at Gold Crest. There should be a section in this website where recognition is given to exceptional CNAs. She is a Stellar CNA that deserves recognition.
I went to visit my grandfather yesterday and walking in the building it was nice and clean. Walked in his room and it was nice and clean, my grandpa’s memory is not so great anymore, we brought him food and i asked the nurses station about a fridge to store food and one lady responds “theres 40 patients here and the fridge is already packed,” with a very rude tone of voice, this happened on the Fourth floor. The CNA behind her was polite and says “i can make room.” Other than that i think it will be better if the patients that aren’t bend bound and are still able to walk to encourage them to walk around so it’ll help their body/bone movement. Overall this place was decent.
