Mantra Recording Studio provided comfort.. makes you feel right at home!.. I'm from Ohio.. Meet Chris Carroll (Owner) yrs ago...While visiting family in Philly, I took a trip to NY.. an I wanted to check out recording studios.. Came across Mantra Recording Studio.. 1 phone call an the rest is history! Mr. Carroll has helped me with recording some vocals thru out the years ever since! He's a very talented engineer an amazing Jazz Drummer!. Honest an hard working person as well, get the work done fast.. There is no other studio I'd rather go to!

Chris did a very big project with me...a painstakingly polished 5.5 hour audio project. He is the real deal. He is obsessed with detail, with getting it right. But he's also funny and easy to work with. He doesn't give up, even when the going gets hard. He pushes for quick completion. He is honest and fair. I really lucked out in finding him through Google, but I'd never go anywhere else. Highest, highest recommendation.

I've been recording at Mantra every week for the past 2 years. Chris Carroll, the owner and engineer, is also one of NYC's most well-regarded jazz drummers. It is the only studio I know of where I can get the insights and talents of a master drummer (for free) when I use the studio. The drummer part of his brain kicks in automatically whenever we edit, which is invaluable. Incidentally, Chris happens to be one of the best editors I've ever seen, period. I'm a very satisfied customer!
