We were in town for a wedding. I checked out the Michelin Guide to pick out a place to eat and am so happy we came here! The food was absolutely incredible. They were also very accommodating of my food allergies. Wish we lived close by so we could come here more often!
Came here to have dinner with a friend. Cute, cozy spot right in New Rochelle. For starters we had the salmon tartare, first time trying it. It was tasty, not what I would normally go for, but I gave it a try. The texture was too mushy for my liking, but not bad as far as everything else goes. For dinner I had the wild mushroom ravioli. It was delightful. Each bite was exquisite, tasty, earthy, creamy, melt in your mouth wonderfulness. Wishing the portion was bigger. My friend had the pappardelle 6hr lamb ragú. I tried a few bites and it was delicious as well. We didn’t stay for dessert but next time we will give it a try.
I can see why everyone loves Maria in New Rochelle so much.
We had the most delicious meal last night and because we were eight people, we were able to try many things. I’ll be dreaming about the eggplant fries, yellowfin tuna, beans under my octopus and farro under the fish… until I get there again and I also look forward to trying more dishes that you guys recommended.
More info under photos.
Also… I think they own Pop’s Espresso that is recommended here al the time. Can’t wait to try one day as well.
New Rochelle has been on fire in the food sector for many years and it seems to be getting better and better. 🥂

Friendly and attentive service. They don’t have a kids menu but kindly accommodated my daughter with an off menu request. I had the spinach gnocchi with Gorgonzola cream which was divine! My husband had the pork chop parmigiana which he also loved. We both had the margarita from the cocktail menu, 5 stars! Overall, a great spot with an intimate setting perfect for families, date night, or a casual outing with friends. I would definitely go back.
I went for dinner at Maria’s on a Monday after a doctor appointment. I arrived about 5pm. This is a neighborhood gem. I will say I wish the Monday menu was a bit more extensive like the menu online but nonetheless what I selected for appetizers and a meal was good.
For appetizers we had the grilled baby lamb chops, the cauliflower fritters and meatballs. The chops and cauliflower were so good we ordered a 2nd round. The meatballs were not to my liking. I wasn’t a fan of the texture but the sauce was good. I wanted to try the pork ribs but they didn’t have them. For our meal we shared the black linguini. That was very tasty and the shrimp was big and so fresh. It could have had more garlic and some Parmesan cheese but it is a very good dish.
I opted for a cosmo as my drink. I don’t like sweet drinks so they made my drink perfect for me.
The service was very friendly and attentive. This restaurant is intimate setting perfect for family , dinner date or just dining with friends.
