Overall:
Flexible scheduling (thanks to Rita), enthuiastic instructors who are really good at what they teach.
The only improvement i can find is to install doors with windows. This would make the lessons more transparent, especially when the instructor is an opposite gender. Though there is an option for parent to sit inside the room, but in cases when parents are not going to be present for the class duration, this might be a safe idea both for the kids and the institution.
Highly recommend.
Mr. Diego is an amazing teacher and can work with any level student! My daughter takes classes with him and my husband does as well! They are very flexible and understand life happens!
I’m extremely impressed with Music, Dance and Art school of Douglaston. My daughter first began taking art classes and it was an incredible experience. She enjoyed every class and it was a great creative outlet for her. We are now taking Piano lessons with Mr. Diego and she is loving and looking forward to her piano lessons every week. Ms. Christine (art teacher) and Mr. Diego are not only talented but also patient, kind, and genuinely passionate about nurturing young creatives. The owners of this company are welcoming and exceptional at communicating. Highly Recommend!
We have been taking music and art lessons at MDASD for several years, for 3 kids. Our experience has been wonderful, from the flexibility in scheduling to the highly professional instructors.
My kids have learned how to play the piano and violin, and now look forward to playing at recitals. The instructors are also excellent at preparing students for NYSSMA. The art classes are a great place for kids to interact socially while learning different artistic techniques to create delightful pieces.
The studio has diligent and professional teachers who never take off days, and the students coats get to sit on chair instead of the waiting parents. Fancy! Also the lesson rate is very reasonable however studio policy is unclear and ambiguous..... the restrooms are clean and the receptionist is very polite. Parking could be a problem during rush hours. Try to pick a non busy time if you want to avoid dangerous traffic problem. (I still have trauma from some bad accidents of other drivers there)overall really recommend this place if you live in walking distance.
