The staff is so caring and kind! We recently had to humanely euthanize our pet because she was very sick . Dr Acevedo & staff are and were absolutely top notch! Walked us through the entire process and made sure we were ready . Nothing but great things to say!

I absolutely adore this practice! The staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They’ve been instrumental in helping my cat numerous times. They take their time with your pet to ensure a thorough diagnosis. After each visit, the staff will call to check in on you and your pet. I can’t express my gratitude enough to all the staff members who work here. Everyone I’ve encountered at this practice has always been warm, comforting, and supportive. I highly recommend bringing your pets here; they’ll be well-cared for! ~Jasper’s mom

Honestly, the first doctor we saw at NVH was horrible. He did not have any knowledge about my animal; was cold and discompassionate; and when our pet died in the night, he did not reach out to us as we requested and as he promised he would. Overall a very bad experience.

When we took Diego back to NVH (because there are so few other options for exotic pets in the area), we saw a different vet: Dr. Steinbeiser. She also seemed to have limited knowledge of the species, but she was forthcoming about it and she was kind. Still not our favorite place to be, but a better experience and Diego healed nicely.

Two years later we have had to bring Diego to Dr. Steinbeiser again. Not only is she still kind and compassionate, but she seems to have acquired a significant amount of knowledge about our pets since we last saw her. I’m completely impressed.

I would have given NVH a very low rating before and I am giving them a 9 now. I can’t forget the experience we had before; we lost our pet painfully. But as long as we never have to interact with that first horrible veterinarian (whose name I do not remember) again, we will continue to use Dr. Steinbeiser happily! She’s awesome!

They made sure my little one got the surgery he needed. I had a baby recently so money was tight and we had no credit. They made sure we could do everything we can to make the surgery happen. Extremely happy with the payment plan. They will work with the you!! I recommend everyone with pets to come here and let them take care of you :)

Newburgh vet is really amazing. i came here when my leopard gecko got sick and they did their best to get him better but he unfortunately passed away :( They made sure he was comfy and really did the most, wrapped him up nice with flowers and sent me a letter witj little paw prints after. they were so kind and compassionate and really tried their best to help. miss my baby so much but couldn’t have asked for better vets :(
