Prime 36 Italian Steakhouse

We went last night with high hopes of a decent time ding experience in our area and we weren't disappointed. Parking was good the ambiance and decor were tastefully gone and the evening got better from here. Very attentive service diligent but not hovering friendly and knew their stuff. Pricing was in line with most tier 1 steakhouses. We ordered salads to begin our meal.I a wedge salad classic and my significant other a Caesar salad both were excellent. Majn course was a Porterhouse for 2 and 3 sides creamed spinach garlic mashed potatoes and Asparagus Parmesan. All were top notch. No desserts and no Alcohol. With tip total bill $250 just what we expected . Bottom line an enjoyable place for fine dining good steaks and a definite will no back hir more.

I don’t often do review for restaurants but I had a particularly interesting experience. My husband and I had dinner here to celebrate our anniversary last night. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated by a young man who was very polite. Shorty after our female server came over and took our order. Food and drinks came out quickly as we were the only ones there at the time.

Food: The food was just okay if I’m being honest. For the price I do feel like blue point in Newburgh at the waterfront is much better.

Atmosphere: great! 10/10. I even liked the Halloween decor they set up!

Service: Service was great until the check came. We received a gift card from my father that he just purchased on Saturday. We gave it to the server along with another from of payment for the balance. When she came back she explained its balance was 150 but the gift card was for 200 written and signed by the staff there. She then explained that they don’t fill out the gift cards until it showed her the certificate. Then her story changed and she said she would fix it. I don’t know if it was a true mistake but it definitely felt like she was misleading us and trying to take advantage. I really didn’t appreciate it. She did end up fixing it but the vibe felt totally off. When I asked her who’s signed it she said she didn’t know. I find it hard to believe she didn’t know what staff member issued the gift card. I won’t be returning!

We had a great experience .The restaurant is beautiful. It has a warm inviting atmosphere. The service was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. We really enjoy everything we ordered .The food was fresh and tasty.

Every time my husband and I visit this restaurant, we leave with full hearts and fuller stomachs. From the moment we walk in, we’re greeted like family—and that’s not something you find just anywhere. The food is always top-notch, but what really makes this place special is the incredible service.

We absolutely adore John and Louie. They go above and beyond every time—making us feel welcomed, remembered, and genuinely cared for. John and Louie are the reason we come to Prime. Whether it’s a date night or a quick bite, they always make it feel like an experience. It’s that personal touch that keeps us coming back again and again.

If you’re looking for great food and even better people, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

Overall I think that Prime 36 is a 4/5! We feel that during their peak hours their food and service lacks. The last time we went, our steaks were over cooked and on the colder side and we couldn’t get ahold of our waiter to correct it so we did end up eating our plates. We recommend to people to try to come week nights or on the earlier side to avoid these situations!

When we go on week nights or before “dinner time” we love the service and food! The staff is very friendly and treats it more like a fine dining experience - we get our food while warm and cooked to perfection! My husband loves to get the lamb chops and I always enjoy the Filet Mignon. Their seasonally vegetables are always seasoned very well and their salads are delicious as well.
