My 2nd time at this restaurant, after nearly 7 years! Am happy that this place is still around and serving delicious Puerto Rican food in Warwick. I brought my bf here after a busy day in the area, and was happy to see that they had a nice outdoor patio area for al fresco dining.
We ate indoors, and were well taken care of by the two servers. Water was given shortly after we were seated. Though, their cocktail menu seemed appealing, we didn't order drinks at this time.
We ordered two pork pasteles for appetizers. Though smaller than I'm used to, it was very tasty and we devoured them quickly (no pictures). For entrees, we ordered the chicken creole with a side of yucca fries and pernil with arroz y gandules with a side of maduros. All was very tasty! 😋 I had enough for leftovers, and am happy to enjoy the meal anew.
The restaurant itself is well decorated and kept nice-looking. They have a full bar and some booth and table seating. Would be a good outing for couples and groups alike, or solo diners at the bar. The prices are a bit high for the food type, but I do believe that it is worth it given the scarcity of Puerto Rican food in the area. 🇵🇷 Highly recommended.
We went late so didn't order dinner but I wish I found the place sooner. They had a DJ and it was nice to sit at the bar and just hang out. The staff was very attentive and it looked like they had plenty of "regulars". I looked at the menu after closing and saw they had some really good food options, including some vegetarian stuff that I wanted to try. Next time I'm back in this area, I'm absolutely coming here for dinner.
My family and I recently had dinner at this restaurant, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The place is very clean, which is always a great first impression.
For appetizers, my wife and I ordered the chicken empanadas and a shrimp cocktail. The empanadas were delicious, but the shrimp cocktail was fairly standard—nothing extraordinary.
For the main course, my kid had a cheeseburger and fries from the kid’s menu and had no complaints, so that’s always a win. My wife had a chicken dish, which she enjoyed and found up to her standards. I ordered the paella for one, and while most of the dish was flavorful, the lobster tail had a strong ammonia taste, which was disappointing.
The pricing was reasonable for what we ordered. Overall, it was a decent dining experience, with a few highs and lows. I’d consider coming back, but I’d probably skip the lobster next time.
The best steak and shrimp dish anywhere. The empanadas are amazing and the Coquito salad is my wife’s favorite. We’ve been coming here for all sorts of occasions since they opened, multiple times a year and it’s always a great experience, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, and the food is always delicious. My birthday is coming up and this is where we’ll be
Coming in, the restaurant was empty. It still took a while for anyone to come and greet us, so we sat ourselves.
We ordered
Empanadas 5⭐️ must try
Tostones 4 ⭐️ crispy, but lacked flavor
Mofongo pork 4⭐️ lacked flavor
Mifongo beef 5 ⭐️
Arroz con gandules 4⭐️ lacked flavor
Cuban Pork 4⭐️ moist, but lacked flavor.
For a Latin cuisine, it lacked the burst of spices that sets it apart.
Drinks were good..
Would we go back? Likely not, many other places to try!
Should you try it, sure! It's good enough.
