River Mill

Really enjoyed it, sat outside on a 70 degree night and really just got the day so well. Varied menu perfect for a night when you may not be sure what you want, local, and feels like a hidden gem despite the quality. Had a pizza app, baked clams, steak tidbits, and pork chop. Draft selection was also above average

I really like the food, and we probably eat here or get takeout once a month. But lately, my order's been messed up. Last time, I called, and the hostess taking my pickup order sounded annoyed. They forgot my fries with the two meals. I was fine with the extra charge when I ordered, but I'm not cool with them forgetting the chips that were supposed to come with it, charging me for their mistake, and now my food's getting cold at home while I wait for them to fix it again.
We lived near this place for years and always thought about going but never pulled the trigger. Well we finally did.

The waitress/bartender was great. She was on point with all of her selections from the menu.

We started with buffalo chicken roll and the chicken caprese flatbread as appetizers. The egg rolls were delicious and pretty big and the flatbread was really good too.

As you can see from the pictures the Prime Pork chop was horrible. This pork chop had to be the best pork chop I ever had in a restaurant. I know the picture doesn't say much but the kale was perfectly season and crispy. The potatoes tender and the pork chop...oh the pork chop was cooked to perfection. Moist and tender and the cherry onion marmalade was to die for. I don't even like cherries! My wife had the maple soy salmon that she loved. My children had the cuban pork naan which was disappointed to him only because it wasn't a pressed as a sandwich but it was still good. The #hashtag burger was pretty good too with the fig jam.

The food was good, not great, but very good. The hot chicken sandwich was good, and kettle chips were cooked perfectly and delicious. It was a very light luch crowd, so I'm not sure why service was slow. The place is beautiful and the atmosphere is very good. The outdoor patio is nice as well. Overall, it's worth trying for sure.

Food is pretty good. Very quiet place in Lynbrook. They have a really cute and well shaded patio that was nice to enjoy. Definitely a place to try if you a nice quick and easy low key lunch or dinner. The drinks here are surprisingly strong.

I had a car maintenance nearby and my family came in to pick up to have brunch together. After searching online, River Mill got our eyes. The interior looks chill. Our hostess is very welcoming. Since we were hungry, we decided to order five brunch dishes. Everything came in very delicious. Our group had 4 adults and 1 child, 5 dishes which is too much for us. There were still half of the grill cheese, half of the Benedict and fries. We started to eat slow and had some conversation when we ate and shared the rest . Maybe our server felt like we can't finish the food, so she asked if we were done with the food. I told her we were still enjoying them. Then another young boy server came to ask again. We don't want to waste food, yet the chips and fries will tastes soggy, so we decided to finish them. That took us some time to finish. At the end, we were all full and we had to pack up the rest of the food.
The restaurant also has a outdoor table.
