Came upon the estate by "accident". Were greeted by one of the guides Frank. He was awesome! Was the last day of their season but he took us on a tour into every room of the house. We were able to touch items, ask questions , and he took the time to answer . Didn't rush us. Then took us to the car garage where we were able to sit in Roosevelt's antique Maxwell car. Took us into the Carriage House as well. Didn't do any hiking but we will be back to experience that part of this estate.

Nice place for a short run. Trail goes to train tracks and a vineyard. A little less than a mile.

The former estate of John E Roosevelt, cousin of Teddy Roosevelt. The historic home is a time capsule. One ignored and in disrepair it has been carefully restored. The knowledgeable docents can fill you in on all sorts of details about it's history.

Great park, quiet and secluded. A great place to walk to if your residential. If you cross the railroad tracks you can get to lotus lake and Blondies

Fun hike through the woods to come up behind this historical estate. Along the trail if you see a grave stone for a pet dog, it is real according to the guides at the estate
