Attended the Clue murder mystery event on May 17th & had a great time! The event was very well organized & the actors were very convincing. Their characters & outfits made me feel like I was in 1910, matching the history of the house.
Looking forward to going back to take the tour of the house and grounds.
Take a tour of the house on the weekends during the summer and early fall. This house once belonged to the Roosevelt family and was used as a vacation home. Everything is restored to circa 1910 so it's very interesting to see how they lived during this time. The grounds are the perfect place for a walk, a picnic, or to sit on the front porch and enjoy the breeze from the Great South Bay.
The estate is beautiful and the staff are incredibly accommodating! My husband and I stumbled on this gem on the way to the nearby winery and are so glad we stopped. They gave us a private tour of the estate and the richly steeped history was amazing, as was the beautiful grand piano they so graciously let me tinker on~
went to pick up my photos that were on on display for Seasons of Meadow Croft, quiet out of the way place, tours only available on weekends..
