Zen Doula

We were very happy to have Jillian as our labor and childbirth doula. She is very caring and supportive, and I am so grateful she worked with us so we could have her be our doula. Having an unmedicated vaginal birth was very important to me, but heading into the unknown made me doubt this was possible. She prepared me for labor by sharing her knowledge, being supportive and having confidence in me. Being able to reach out to her and know that she was available when we needed her reassured me throughout my pregnancy and during labor. When she helped us labor at home, I was relieved to be in the presence of an experienced doula. She helped me trust my instincts during labor and I ended up with the childbirth I desired! She also taught us how to breastfeed using the Thompson method and that worked so much better for us than what was taught at the hospital. I continue to communicate with her for lactation support and I am very grateful to have her guidance to navigate the ups and downs I’ve experienced with breastfeeding. If you’re on the fence about having a birthing doula, I would encourage you to go for it and you will be in excellent hands with Jillian. Thank you, Jillian!

Jillian was so helpful when I was having issues weaning my baby. I was in so much pain from being engorged and she had such great tips to help me cope without making more milk. I feel like you often hear about help when you start nursing but don't always have support when you're done nursing. And she was so wonderful to work with and such a huge help. What a relief! Pun intended.

Jillian was recommended to me through my postpartum doula and I am so grateful that I found her. I wish I had known her sooner! She responded very quickly to my latching concern and desperation. After giving birth and having tremendous pain while breastfeeding for almost a week, she was able to help me fix my latch virtually on Zoom in 5 minutes. Feeding my newborn felt 100 times better even with the trauma I endured because of poor advice at the hospital and I felt instant relief. She hopped on a call with me early on a Sunday morning and she is just a wealth of knowledge, professional and caring. Whenever I had latch issues after that, she was always so responsive and she really cares about your mental health and well-being first and foremost. I highly recommend her to any mother struggling through their breastfeeding journey or needs some guidance.

Jillian is very helpful! She went through all my questions and helped me navigate items for by baby registry with practical advice on what was necessary and what was extra. She also kept in mind specifics about my lifestyle and budget! Made making my registry way less overwhelming and left me very confident in my choices. Thanks Jillian!!!

I am a first time mom and had a difficult pregnancy so i knew i wanted to at least explore having a doula to make our labor as easy as possible. When we first met Jillian it was clear she was super knowledgeable and confident and would be just what we needed! As first time parents, it was helpful to have our pre delivery sessions with Jillian and it made us feel so much more prepared for labor and breastfeeding! She answered questions I was embarrassed to ask and never made us feel silly for asking. I felt comfortable going to her for all of our first time parent questions (what does a contraction feel like? How long will we be in the hospital? What questions should i ask my doctor?). We were induced and Jillian prepared us so we knew what the process would be going into it. During the actual labor process Jillian was with us the whole time (which was a very long time!) and was a calming presence. She advocated for us with the doctors as she knew our birth preferences and when we had to have an emergency c section, she gave us the confidence that it was the right decision. Jillian has been available through text for all of my desperate first time mom breast feeding questions and did a house visit when we were home. She has been amazing and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is expecting and wants a Doula!
