I, wife and friends have eaten here many times. It never disappoints!
Our last meal was 1-14-2026. Rack of lamb was terrific. Mashed potatoes were heavenly. I'm serious...unbelievable mashed potatoes.
Burrata appetizer was great. Wife's chicken with pasta was really good. Owner helped me pick a great wine. The wine selection is quite good.
This place has it all: Atmosphere, quality food, bar, great service. They give you fresh silverware between courses and have impeccable professional service. They make most of their deserts. Tiramisu is killer. The chef is amazing. Great specials.

The new owners did not really change the look & feel from the former establishment. The atmosphere was nice before and is about the same. The menu is less inspiring - more standard Italian fare. There's nothing wrong with that - just that the Morea menu was more innovative. We felt the dishes were good, not fantastic. The kicker was dessert: "house-filled cannolies". Only, take a close look at the photo. See anything odd? Empty in the middle.

In the running for the best restaurant in the vicinity for sure. And probably the best small restaurant experience I’ve had in a long time. Basilico surprise me in the best ways. Super attentive staff, multiple staff members, including a manager, checking up on us, and making sure we were attended to, but not in an annoying type of way. Food is excellent. Calamari some of the best around -crunchy and not chewy or rubbery at all. Drinks visually were great, but taste-wise they could’ve used just a bit of adjustment. Atmosphere fantastic. Very relaxed and casual, but it also felt a little upscale at the same time. Perfect mix of everything you would want in a restaurant. I will be back regularly.

We went for an early dinner and enjoyed our appetizer, drinks, and meals. The calamari was so tender. They have something for everyone on their menu, prices were on par with other restaurants. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The owner checked in on all of the patrons, and we had a nice conversation about his background, and you can tell he really cares about the product they put out The atmosphere was charming. They currently were offering a 20% off on everything for happy hour. They will be adjusting happy hour to certain hours in the bar area only in the near future. We definitely will go back again. It's nice to have a new restaurant like this locally. Give them a try I'll think you'll be glad you did.

Such a nice addition to Oxford! We were impressed with how much of the food is made in-house, and the prices were reasonable too. Everything we tried was delicious, but the pesto sauce was really a standout on the homemade pasta. The vibe is nice for date night or going out with friends. There’s something on the menu for everyone!
