Baladina Mediterranean Restaurant & Cafe

I love going here! Everything from their appetizers, lunches, dinners, and desserts is on point. The chefs really put their all into their food. They will literally run out of the kitchen to make sure that you get your food, fast and hot! They use fresh ingredients, and you can taste the difference in their food. If you like Mediterranean food, and even if you don’t, you should definitely give this place a try. The atmosphere matches with the Mediterranean theme. One of my favorite places to go near the shore!

We were looking for something different for once and found this gem right in Toms River.

Had the hummus and Baba Ganoush with veggies

For entrees my mom had a delicious salad and I had the Chicken Shawarma Platter. Really great. Rice was phenomenal

Then for dessert I had baklava but it was their twist on it so that was great too. It had warm honey drizzled on it that's what it tasted like and they used I think walnuts and almonds or cashews and almonds. Really yum.

This place is very quiet, compared to other places, they had music playing in the background. The food and service was excellent. I will be returning. The rice was cooked perfectly, the beef kabob was very flavorful, and cooked exactly the way we wanted it RARE. I had the chicken, which was also perfect. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed you can take your time here. Pitas were warm and toasty. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu options. They even have take out. I really enjoyed the screen on the wall with videos of what is local in the Mediterranean. I got a little history lesson on Egypt. I also noticed the other people in the restaurant enjoying their meals. I heard a couple of times other exclaming how good the food was.

I've been wanting to visit Baladina for a while and I can definitely say it was worth the wait! The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere in Baladina is wonderful. Then, the food. Glorious! We had some zatar bread and a pickle platter, and how unique it was! Not just pickled cucumber, but also carrots, olives, and even a lemon (which was super good!). Our mains came out hot and fresh, with saffron rice and a Mediterranean-style salad. All the food was heavenly and definitely not like much that you can get in Ocean County right now. I was told they have Friday and Saturday night dinners with dance entertainment, and I'll certainly be showing up for one of those soon! You simply MUST visit here, for a taste of something unique and wonderful.

Have been here several times in the last few weeks and all I can say is it is great. Have tried multiple dishes and desserts. The staff is amazing also, you must go and enjoy.
