Our experience at Big Bang Music has been great! Kenny and Craig are great teachers and they have so much patience with my son! I highly recommend them!

My son who has Down syndrome has been taking lessons with Craig for a few months now. He’s learned so much & enjoys his lessons. Craig is patient and encouraging. His teaching style is deceptively laidback because lot is taught in a short amount of time. Craig incorporate the right mix of fun and learning the basics. He really wants his students to be success and to enjoy their music journey. Amy is wonderful. She is always so welcoming when we arrive. She is knowledgeable and helpful. Always a great experience when we come.

If you are a middle-aged adult who always wanted to learn to play drums, then seriously, do not wait another minute to make your fantasy a reality. Craig Buchman, the owner and drum teacher at Big Bang Music Center, is the most patient, encouraging, and talented instructor/coach that any adult student could hope for. I enrolled on a whim as I was facing my 59th birthday and had never held a pair of drumsticks in my life. Now, a year and a half later and 60 years old, I can play several songs (AC/DC, Journey, Boston, Aerosmith, Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac) and am learning new beats and rhythms every week. Craig intuitively observes your strengths and weaknesses and combines the fun of learning familiar songs with the discipline of theory and technique. He is informal but very much a well-regarded and experienced musician, as well as a drumming powerhouse. As a teacher, Craig makes it a priority to give you encouragement and confidence, which in turn makes you relax and play better. In fact all of the school staff are so warm and welcoming, I have never felt self-conscious as an older student. In terms of equipment, Craig keeps it simple and can recommend basic (including used) equipment that works for you. I live in a condo and can't use a regular kit, so I'm playing at home on an electronic kit with headphones and it's still a great feeling! As far as my personal goals, even if I only play for myself, it's so much fun to rock out to the music of my generation. But Craig assures me that playing in a band is not just pie in the sky, it's actually achievable if that's what I aim for. The staff are very friendly and funny! I go for drums and Craig is awesome. I’m learning super quick with him and he is very helpful. Also, the prices there are great for both lessons and equipment! I’ll be coming back for a while!

Craig and the staff and music instructors are always so helpful, knowledgeable and just pleasant all around to deal with. My son takes piano lessons with them and he absolutely loves it and is learning so quickly! Big Bang music store is an incredible asset to our town
